Deck Description

This deck is built mainly for Archenemy.
Nicol Bolas as main win condition. I've played sevral Archenemy games with this deck and wins almost every time. Try it out and watch how pissed your opponents will be.

I've yet to play Archenemy. Not quite sure all it entails, but I know 1 mofo is te Archenemy & I think the minimum players are 2 or 3 other people against you or something. I've recently in the past month or 2 gotten back into Magic since 10+ years inactivity. So I don't understand the Grixis thing, I thought he was like a Legendary Zombie Lord or some shit. Sorry for nOObin' this one. But this deck looks powerful goin' through the cards. 9 Stars bro.

1 other noob question because I'm too lazy to Google this right now. What is this "Jund" I keep seeing?

Grixis is a plane from Alara. There are five planes, Jund (BRG), Naya (WRG), Grixis (UBR), Bant (WUG), and Esper (WUB). I'll post a jund deck tomorrow so you can see what it's all about. I stay away from playing it because it revolves around Cascade which is a cheap way to cast everything. It's a sick-nasty style of deck, i'll be sure to post one tomorrow for ya. Right now, i gotta finish up some stuff here at work and then i'm outta here, later bro!

Wait a second, I've seen this already! This is what sTr8-jAcKeT showed to me on my first attempt at making a Grixis Control Deck, well thats an interesting coincidence. First of all, why a fetchland? Fetchlands should only be used if you want to take advantage of Landfall abilities, which you have none of in here. A bit too much Black for a control deck, don'tya think? Also why no Manlands? Sometimes you cant counter a creature and dont have a way to deal with it, sometimes its nice just to have a land that does all the dirty work for you, right? What's with the Artifacts? You don't need them in here, at all. And that Mana Curve looks a bit intimidating... but I do like your sideboard. Really the main problem is that you have almost no way of dealing with a resolved, powerful creature. But it's a nice start, maybe add in a creature or 2 is always nice. 7/10, mate.

The artifacts are for lowering Nicol Bolas's casting cost to drop him faster. The fetch lands are there to shuffle my library and get needed lands at the time. As for the manlands idea i do agree. I ran into needing them the first few times i played with this deck. It's been a while since i've used this beast, I may have to rewrite another Grixis deck and post it. The mana curve is nothing when you play Archenemy and that's what the deck was built for. Archenemy cards grant you land, hurt your opponents and add to this deck's destructive power. If ya haven't played Archenemy, check it out with a group of four people. It's fun as hell.
