Deck Description

I'm trying really hard to make Tezzeret work without being gimicky--relying on Kuldotha Forgemaster or something similar.

After testing out a lot of different Tez strategies, I've come to think that more of a ramp type strategy is best. The goal is a turn 3 Tezzeret or a turn 3 Simulacrum leading to a turn 4 wurmcoil, Mindslaver, or Battlesphere (with the help of Mox Opal).

Preordain is necessary to help find the required pieces to get off to a smooth start. Some discard has been put in as well , there are 4 discard slots which can also be adjusted based on your metagame.

More board clears are easy to put in, potentially 3 black sun's zenith and taking out surgical and duress, but that part is focused on my current FNM metagame.

We need to work together to make the artifact list solid! Are 7 2CC mana boosters enough(chalice + sphere)? Is 4 Solemn Simulacrum too many? Should I pick different artifact finishers? Does Myr Battlesphere deserve a spot?

Deck discussion for NEW Tezzeret Standard List, PLEASE HELP!

drop 2 shores and 2 catacombs for a total of 4 search lands. i dont think the chalice needs to be in either. to help keep ur opp at bay while u supercharge tezzy i would add in tumble magnets. diemember out for another throat, duress out for another despise. i also think that bsz woudl be a lil better here than life's finale. im not so sure SE is needed here either. not sure what it could be swaped out for though. other than those few things it doesnt look bad imo.

Iam running Tezz Control, I gave myself 4 ways to win, Usually by infect

-4 spheres not really helping you too much, +4 engine clasp, -1-1 to a creature, Proliferate
-4 tectonic edge +4 Blinkmoth infect win condition, Use proliferate , Alternative win
-2 surgical extraction Dont really do much +1 contagion engine Proliferate
-3 go for the throat +3 dismember (Better) -5-5 dont limit your self to what u can kill and Costs 1 mana

Tumble magets = SEXY , proliferate them Clasp and magent = Stall for a few turns
i see alot of people wil attack the Tezz directly you dont have alot of blockers youll probably lose your tezz easy, unless you can proliferate the counters , This is where infect Comes in and its like you have 2 ways to win


Skitryrex that black dragon , 4 haste regenerate = Great
