A ton of ways to get infinite mana in modern!
This is my first iteration of this deck. I'm sure it can be tweaked to be better. The goal of the deck is to make infinite mana, then use the creature finding spells (Chord of Calling, Summoner's Pact [for Duskwatch], Eladamri's Call, Duskwatch Recruiter) to find Walking Ballista or Emrakul and win the game. The reason there are two different types of win conditions is so that you don't lose on the spot to a Pithing Needle effect on Walking Ballista. You can also channel the infinite mana in to Leyline of Abundance to create infinitely large creatures. Here are the infinite mana combos:1. Birds of Paradise / Noble Hierarch / Sylvan Caryatid + Leyline of Abundance + Freed from the Real. Tap a dork for blue mana to untrap with Freed from the Real, generating one green mana per iteration. Sylvan Caryatid is the safest way to do this.2. Devoted Druid + Vizier of Remedies. Vizier prevents the -1/-1 counters so Devoted Druid can create infinite green mana. There are exactly 12 ways to find a win condition or one of the win conditions themselves. This means every game it is likely for you to draw at least one, especially with the help of Horizon Canopy. The Giver of Runes provide additional protection in the form a threat that must be answered before they can break up your combo, putting pressure on them to have extra creature removal. For the sideboard I chose mostly noncreature disruption for the various strategies in modern, since the opponent will always have to leave in all of their creature removal to battle your main gameplan. If they are also required to have artifact and enchantment destruction then it will inevitably dilute their main strategy. This deck is currently just theory crafting, but after I do some playtesting I will likely modify the sideboard to aim it directly at it's bad matchups. I hope you all enjoy this brew!
