I'm not seeing how nomads takes damage beyond blocking.

it doesn't need damage on the stack to activate the ability. the ability only needs to declare cephalid as the target to trigger his ability so you can mill your entire library (even if the ability fails due to a lack of damage [side note: i don't think you need damage to activate the ability since it doesn't target the damage but I'm no grand-Prix judge])the ability mills your whole library putting the 4 narcomoeba into play, you sac one for cabal therapy flashback cost to get rid of any pesky force of wills in the opponents hand and then sac the other three to flashback dread return to grab thassa's oracle and win the game.turn 0 happens because of leyline so you can do it before their first spell turn even really begins. I'm not so sure about the turn one lock they mention though. this all only works if im assuming right and you don't need a damage source on the stack to activate nomads.
In case of no damage shuko is the backup
theres the answer i was looking for
Didn't you know the answer all along ;)
hahahah i definitely didn't miss that ;)
Here's a sequence: (provided you have the leyline)If you play it against aggro, you simply await their attack, then you simply play the entire machinery and block. You need just 3 mana for that play which is rare but does happen.I never forgot the first time I attacked the original cephalid deck without dealing with their board first.Damn I'm old
ooh i like this
Old tech but still good. It's damn long ago since cephalid breakfast was a thing.Turn 0 angle is new though.
I guess congratulations are in order ;)3 months to refine it is a bit on the slow end though. My older methods could do it from scratch within a month.Still, it's a big step...It's a 76 players event, but the data sheet only lists 75 archetypes. Could be a kiddy deck or something very rogue ish missing. The first place got lucky against reanimator by being exceptionally prepared for reanimator strategies, despite only 3 graveyard based decks attending.
