Deck Description

The goal is to uses Gavony Township & Ajani Goldmane to boost many cheap creatures that are resilient to removal. Plus card advantage, Vengevine combo and staying power and air assault.

PLAYING GUIDE:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Doomed Traveler, Strangleroot Geist, Young Wolf and Lingering Souls all have recursion.
2. Vengevine, Strangleroot Geist have haste.
4. Lingering Souls, Birds, Doomed Traveler to attack over the air.
5. All cheap creatures entering battle field fuel Mentor of the Meek for card advantage. Lingering Souls trigger Mentor twice!
6. Use Dauntless Escort to protect key cards such as Mentor of the Meek or Fauna Shaman
7. With 8 cards that put +1 counters, all your creatures become threats fast.
8. Verdant Catacombs can be used to search for any mana (G,W,B) via Temple Garden or Godless Shrine
9. Black mana is used for Lingering Souls flashback.
10. Sylvan Scrying could be used to give you more chance to draw Gavony Township or to fix mana.
11. Fauna Shaman is used to tutor for Dauntless, Vengevine or Mentor. After sideboarding, it may tutor for Gaddock, Qasali, or Thalia.
12. It's not uncommon to have Mentor in play, and chain 2 to 3 cards off cheap creatures, or chain off a flashed back Lingering Soul.... Then +1!
13. This deck curves out at 4 from 8 cards, so 23 lands is a good number, I won't recommend reducing the land count, especially given regards to Govany Township's activation cost.
14. Keep in mind this deck doesn't need Vengevine to win, so don't be afraid to side it out given the right matchup.

SIDEBOARDING:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Board in Gaddock Teeg, Thalia against control
2. Board in Qasali Pridemage for artifact / enchantment removal
3. If your opponent is light on removal, board in Avacryn's Pilgrim to speed up board presence.
4. Green Sun's Zenith is a bit slow, but could be used to tutor up most answers.
5. Oh, Thalia is the nuts, as this deck is mostly creatures.
6. If you board in Gaddock Teeg and Green Sun's Zenith together, be aware of the sequence of play, this could require advance decisions making.

This deck is not very expensive, I'm making this deck to be muti-player friendly, but also fairly competitive in duels with side boarding. If you want to reduce deck cost, you could remove vengevine, and play with slightly cheaper mana bases. I'm also explaining all the key strategies for new players to understand the deck quickly.
