Animar, you say? No! It is truly Maelstrom Wanderer that topples the competition!
Generally speaking the goal of this deck is to build up a somewhat unthreatening board presence, and then slam down something ridiculously destructive, like Craterhoof Behemoth or Primal Surge. While I generally use Maelstrom Wanderer for my commander, the deck is built with Animar in mind, and you can see many things in place that support him, such as Inexorable Tide, Thrummingbird, Sunken Hope, and Forgotten Ancient. Generally speaking you just want to dig through the deck, though, using things like Tomorrow, Azami's Familiar, Consecrated Sphinx, or the other draw engines in the deck until you hit Primal Surge. Then, using any number of mana accelerent, flip your entire deck. Just make sure no one counters it! Tomorrow and Obstinate Familiar will prevent you from decking, so have no fear about the remaining draw triggers. Once your deck ids flipped you will have enough mana on the board to do just about anything. Hopefully you still have the Behemoth, because that's gonna clear the entire board.
