Deck Description

Shock your foe(s) when what they presume is a "green weenie" deck starts popping out hydras and baloths!

How to Play

This deck starts out the way most would expect of a weenie or elf deck: lots of mana, lots of cheap creatures. That misconception usually goes out the window once your first big creature hits the field. Oftentimes it will be a [Khalni Hydra] or [Rampaging Baloths]. If you happen to have [Omnath] or [Protean Hydra], I prefer to have lots of mana before I even feel comfortable playing either of them. The [Canopy Cover]s in this deck are meant specifically for [Omnath] or [Protean Hydra], but work just as good on everything else. My favorite combo to use in this deck is playing [Omnath] and just building up my mana for a few turns while trying to keep my opponent from killing him, usually via [Canopy Cover], and then dropping [Protean Hydra] with about +20/+20. Overall, a fun deck for casual non-standard play.

mostly because that was all i had available at the time. this is my physical deck that i use, and i just dont feel like adjusting it when it already works so well. i could, i just choose not to

This is interesting. it reminds me vaguely of my Hydra deck. you should check it out. :)
I like the way that you use Onmoth for mana ramp, to get your higher cmc creatures out. :)

omnath actually doubles as mana ramp. his primary purpose is to get fat on mana and then let me do serious overkill with an overwhelming stampede. best result was a 200/200 omnath when i cast stampede. i had a field full of baloths and i just steamrolled him

checked out your hydras. i see why this reminded you of them. i find constructed to be a lot of fun, and thats how this deck came about. it has won many a fight through sheer force. i want to upgrade it and make it a bit more modern in time, but i have other decks im finishing right now. im trying to finish my most current azorius deck right now, and after that im going to get to work on my standard minotaurs when BotG comes out. hoping for some good pulls at the pre-release :D *fingers crossed*
