After the success I've had with my Sen Triplets "Democracy" EDH, I decided to make a few other counterparts. The second of these governmental-inspired EDH deck to join the fun is this one, namely "Communism".This deck's sole purpose is to make everyone draw as much as possible, and then whatever happens from there is up to the individual player. Much like the basis of Communism, everyone gets treated exactly the same, and therefore everyone also suffers the same.Democracy EDH: http://www.mtgvault.com/drakeraenes/decks/democracy-edh/Monarchy EDH: https://www.mtgvault.com/drakeraenes/decks/monarchy-edh/
The deck is incredibly straightforward. Play stuff that makes you draw extra cards, get out Nekusar when you can, and then make everyone draw themselves either to death or deck out. There's a few fun things I added in that take advantage of the sheer amounts of draw and the aftereffects of said draws. All in all, its a fun deck that's sure to make you more enemies than friends.

Was considering seizan, but dropped him. Don't want niv because I want world effects vs single targets. Also crawler is in there already. Cerebral vortex was out because of the single target vs mass. It was in there up until the very last few cuts to meet the deck count though. Ob is too slow to get to his ult and will definitely be targetedI want to use wheel badly, but that price tag is painful. Collective defiance is a no because single targeting, but I still might make room for it later. Ebony owl netsuke I didn't even come across so it'll probably be the first thing I add if I find a card underperforming after testing.
Ebony Owl Netsuke and Ivory Crane Netsuke and two of my favourite "hidden gems" from Kamigawa.
Got the deck proxies and did done dry runs just to see how the draws went. Did three tests, and good God is this deck crazy. First one if it had been an actual match would've seen mass lethal by the sixth or seventh turn from just drawing and damage spells. Kederekt Parasite, Nekusar, and Underworld Dreams all made appearances in each of the three tests, and Fate Unraveler showed up in the third. I purposefully kept a bad hand in the third test to see how it would go, and by turn three after starting with only a Reliquary Tower, I was doing just fine despite paying my second land on turn four. Got my cheap artifacts out and then not long after I ended that test with a lethal Molten Psyche with triggered metalcraft. I'm going to be doing actual matches in the next few days vs several different types of EDH decks, including one that is rather efficient at gaining life and keeping it. Will post more results later
What do you think about:For attacking: shocker or barbed shockerFor defensie: mindslicerIts expensive but a good suggestion: Chains of Mephistopheles
The deck isn't really much of an attacking force as it is a sit back and watch people draw themselves to death. And while I like mindslicer I don't want to be discarding my hand when it's out of my control. A simple bolt on my main phase will empty my hand and then I have nothing until my next turn. That's a tempo loss I don't particularly like, and while waste not and library of leng would negate it entirely, I won't always have one of them out. As for chains, I thought it over very hard, but it would ultimately confuse people and I'd have to explain it constantly to people when I use it. If this deck weren't meant to be strictly casual, I'd probably add it.

Overall it performs well still, but I actually got more variance each time so I was able to better determine what didn't work as well. Add in the fact that I have made any adjustments in a good long while, and there's many new cards I had to consider adding in. Hoping these changes will help the deck run a little smoother.
