Under what circumstances would you need to sideboard Lone Missionary into the deck? I personally think Brave the Elements would be a much more proper sideboard card. After all, Pyroclasm > Soul Sisters.

Ajani's Mantra should be replaced by Rest for the Weary. The 1 life a turn thing for Ajani's Pridemate really is not very useful.

Finally, Journey to Nowhere > Pacifism in most cases. O ring is fun too.

If you mean Brave the Elements would protect against Pyroclasm. Your incorrect. I believe that Ajani's Mantra is more there for powering up Ajani's Pridemate more than for pure lifegain...

As for Pacisfism, Journey to Nowhere would be a far more useful choice...

f4113nx,

Protection from red prevents all damage from a red source. Pyroclasm deals damage thus the damage is prevented. You are comparing pyroclasm to wrath of god, when it isn't. So yeah. =)

Thus, protection from white does not prevent Wrath of God, but protection from red does prevent Pyroclasm, Chain Reaction, etc.

Proof: 502.7e - Any damage that would be dealt by sources that have the stated quality to a permanent that has protection is prevented.

Also, I stated that you were using the Mantra for Pridemate with my haughty comment of "the 1 life a turn thing for Ajani's Pridemate really is not very useful." Obviously 1 life a turn for pure lifegain is worthless. Rest for the Weary is more useful than Ajani's Mantra because it allows for a turn 3 pumped Serra Ascendent. Ajani's Mantra does nothing except for pump Ajani's Pridemate.

Anyways, I don't understand why you felt the need to repeat my explanation for Ajani Mantra's usage in the deck. Instead you should create your own argument as to why Ajani's Mantra is better than Rest for the Weary.

And finally, I said that "Journey to nowhere > Pacifism". The > signifies "greater than." I don't understand the need for an ellipsis at the end of your sentence pertaining to journey to nowhere. I said that Journeys are better than Pacifisms and you said that Journeys are better than Pacifisms. Monkey see, monkey do.

Finally for a new comment, I would like to say that Honor of the Pure does not bode well with Soul Sisters. At least that is with my own personal experience with the deck. You might disagree, but I found that the damage from Honor of the Pure was negligible seeing as the only creatures I would attack with were Ajani's Pridemate, Serra Ascendent, and Baneslayer.

Honor of the pure will stay in my deck, I made this deck based around the sigil of the empty throne, and i found life gain to be a good way to allow my self to life into late game, which is when I usually draw it.

As for ajani's mantra vs rest for the weary, rest for the weary is a good life gain, but it isn't an enchantment.

Everyone calls this deck soul sisters, I finaly found out what that meant at Monday night magic, a life gain deck correct? Everyone i talked to said that this was different from soul sisters, it's win condition's are felidar sovereign and sigil of the empty throne, and luminarch ascension, life gain just helps me last long enough to make their abilities useful.

Sigil of the empty throne is an amazing card and I made this deck trying to base it around sigil.
I could tell you an interesting story with it but i'm not going to go into that right now.

Journey to nowhere is indeed > pacifism, however, it's hard to add a card i didn't have, i do have one now and have added it, and it seems to me that f4112nx was just agreeing with you that journeys are better, what's to understand?

Now brave the element would be amazing, but as i said for the journeys, it's hard to add a card i don't have. lone missionary will stay until i get some.

Finaly honor of the pure... IMO, one of the best cards in this deck. It gives all my creatures +1/+1. All my small 1/1s can become 4/4s, and it has happened too. That card has earned it's spot on more than one occasion. Now is time for the story as it deals with honor of the pure. I was one facing a knight deck that had used DoJ while they had no knight exemplars, it was either that or they would have lost. i was top decking while having both sigils on the field, my turn came around and i remembered i had a survival cache in exile that could be cast. i drew with the cache and then i drew my card for the turn, both where honor of the pures. playing them both i suddenly had 4 6/6 flying angels, he conceded, he had nothing else left to do and his DoJ just left him open to 4 6/6 angels. Honor of the pure is an amazing card, i could go on but i'd rather just leave you with this piece of knowledge, THIS IS NOT SOUL SISTERS everyone who has seen this deck agreed with me, it was life gain but not soul sisters as my goal is to use the sigils and enchantments, not lifegain.
