Deck discussion for Soldier's Enchantments

I build a rather similar deck that uses a lot more control rather than just enchants for heroic, getting daxos reliably over a 2/2 is more difficult but still effective.

if you want to compare here is a link. http://www.mtgvault.com/camfrye/decks/daxos-hero/

The focus here seems to be stretched a bit. This deck looks like it wants to have speedy attackers that can be enchanted for extra power. However, with only 18 creatures (most of which cost 3 mana) and 14 enchantments (most of which cost 2 mana) the deck seems a bit over extended. This looks like a slow deck that wants to be fast. With 8 2 drop creatures, you have a little worse than 1 out of 7 cards chance to pull a 2 drop creature. Which means you will most likely be pulling 3 drop creatures while having 2 drop enchant creatures that you cant use on turn 2 without creatures. You may find yourself sitting around waiting until turn 3 to drop a creature and then later turns to add the enchantment or drop new creatures. Then again this looks to be in limited format and I do not play limited so for all i know, this deck could be great. Especially if the format is slow paced. I like the build though.

So from what I'm looking at, it's a really decent budget build for a deck like this. If you're going for enchantments, try using Ethereal Armor because you have a lot of small-costing enchantments.

Gift of Immortality should work really well with Phalanx Leader and Fabled Hero.

Hey, the deck seems kind of solid. Though there are some cards that you can easily replace in order to strengthen up your deck.
First of all, Phalanx Leader isn't the kind of creature you want to play as your deck is about creating powerhouses with heroic and the Phalanx Leader only is good in a token deck imo. Maybe you might want to think to replace them with Skymark Roc, since you can combine the Roc with Daxos in order to clear the path for Daxos pretty fast. Another option would be Wingsteed Rider, the best white common out there.

Chosen by Heliod is no good card imo, 2 Mana for +0/2 is senseless and since you only draw one card, it is like a wasted slot in that 60 Card deck imo. Also i don't think Ordeal of Heliod is the right card for your deck, you don't plan on stalling the game by gaining 10 life, you need to accelerate the game for yourself in order to gain an advantage over the enemy. You don't win by gaining life. I would recommend you God's Willing ( extremely strong common ) in order to protect yourself from burn spells or blue bumps and also Fate Foretold, which helps you trigger Heroic and accelerate your own game.

Annul won't help you in every matchup, what about a token-heavy deck without any artifacts or enchantments? That will result in a card in your hand that is useless, as if you started with 1 card less on your hand. Move Annul into the Sideboard (or remove it if you don't want to deal with a sideboard as the card anyways isnt that strong) and put 2 Rootborn Defenses in. There is nothing more overpowered than making your creatures indestructible until end of turn. Screw the populate which goes to waste, the card helps you in so many situations.

Hope i coulda help you.

UW heroic weenies is a strategy I consider more solid than many in today's standard.
I would put 4 copies Ordeal of Thassa and remove Ordeal of Heliod though. And you may want to look into Triton Tactics or Dauntless Assault over Chosen by Heliod or Annul.
Good deck :)

Hey I actually play this deck and it posts surprisingly good results in certain matchups.
The best card in this deck is Gods Willing, I would move it up to a 4 of immediately. It lets you cast your enchantments, but still keep mana open cast Gods Willing. Dissolve is great, it might hold you back too far.
I don't run the cipher spells. Ordeal of Heliod may not be the best ordeal, but putting another 4 ordeals in here just increases the amount of threats you have. It just makes the deck do what it is supposed to do, Abuse people that have limited removal.

How about instead of God's Willing, use Brave the Elements. There is no mono-blue creature you have in this deck, so With Brave the Elements giving all your WHITE creatures protection from the color of your choice until the end of the turn, you can make a bunch of creatures unblockable if your opponent is playing Mono Red / Mono Blue Devotion.
