Not much devotion here, though, since permanents are used sparingly in this deck

I like the concept. I'm not sure if Immortal Servitude is a good fit, though, given that most of your creatures (Vermin excluded) are relatively pricey to cast. Maybe Academy Raider to deal make use of extra lands. Maybe Blood Scrivener for card draw, especially useful for when Sire of Insanity is in play. Firedrinker Satyr might be good for early play, especially to keep them off balance. Guttersnipe plays well into all the spells you have. Rakdos Cackler is a low-cost potential 2/2 - he'd go well with Servitude. Young Pyromancer would be a good choice also - make token chumps alongside your removal/control.Lots of options, lol.
adaptive automaton might be good - add another shot at a +1/+1 for all spirits (and shapeshifters).
Nicely done. Maybe Mikaeus, the Lunarch for sb?
/\ <--- nailed it. |
Maybe an Elixer of Immortality?Dark Sphere + Sickening Dreams is another fast approach.Likewise - Ad Nauseum for card-draw isn't a bad idea, especially since most of your deck will be CMC 0
I'm guessing you meant "Vampite EDH"?Can you use Stormkirk? I thought champions we're supposed to be Legendary Creature only. I'd recommend Olivia Voldaren and more mana acceleration: Everflowing Chalice, etc.
Yeah lol - expensive but effective!
A pauper deck is constructed entirely of common cards. It's a fun format to build in because it's cheap & takes some thinking to build synergy. Prince is my way if saying I'm gonna put in a bunch of rares and uncommons. I was thinking about Cathar's Crusade, champion might work but I'm not pure human, which is a little scary.
heh, yeah - me and a buddy made mill decks to play against each-other - I thought I had him with the Jace Duskmantle combo and he came out with the alchemist a turn ahead of me - just destroyed me. Elite Alchemist is another good one.
Do me a favor and check this deck out:http://www.mtgvault.com/doctordelt/decks/paup-em-in-paup-em-out/I'm looking at upgrading it from Pauper to prince and need some good bounce ideas. Already planning a closet and thinking about a few others - definitely keeping the Stonehorn dignitary, though.
Undead Alchemist + Traumatize = owned.
More spells, fewer creatures imo. I'd cut Circu, Dimir Lobotomist, NightVeil Spector, Deathcult Rogue and either Oona, Szadek, or 2 Aberrations . Sub for Duskmantle Guildmage, Tome Scour, Traumatize and a few lower cost mill like mind sculpt.I'd bump the cipher card also - not fast enough and dependent upon attacks.Undead Alchemist is also ridiculous thanks to his passive ability - makes the need for creatures less important.Of course Jace, Memory Adept can wreak a lot of havoc, esp if you can trigger his zero ability with the Duskmantle Guildmage.
Tough one: Mentor of the Meek maybe - he fits in ok with your theme I suppose.
Probably drop the closet, you're not running enough flicker cards to make the slot worth it. Angel of Serenity with the closet, though, is pretty evil - since cards that return after flicker go to players hand instead of back on the battlefield.
Thalia, Guardian of Thraben would be good since you're hardly playing any non-creature spells.True Conviction?Maybe sub one of your other exile guys for Devout Chaplain, since it's a permanent exile instead.I think you'll want some sort of card draw also - if you don't care about breaking modern Oblation might be good.
That's awfully rude. I suppose being an asshole for no real reason must have some sort of appeal but I can't really see what it is. I'll leave you to it.
Hey, if you're just slumming around take a look at my merfolk deck and let me know if you see many chinks in the armor:http://www.mtgvault.com/doctordelt/decks/merfolking-it-up/
I hadn't considered that scenario, but even something as simple as Red Sun's Zenith could shut the combo down... maybe sideboard a few saving grasps? At the end of the day, the deck shouldn't rely entirely on the combo anyway but it's good to have a backup.
If you're splashing Orzhov consider High Priest of Penance - especially with your +1/+1 cards it's useful. He's a great deterrence from most attackers, anyway (after all, who wants to lose a permanent?) but once you can make him strong enough to survive the damage you can start destroying additional cards every turn; either that, or your opponent simply opts to take the damage. win-winOther ideas:Cathar's CrusadeCoat of ArmsAdaptive AutomatonEssence HarvestHere's a deck I've been working on that runs on Humans also:http://www.mtgvault.com/doctordelt/decks/oh-the-humanity-v2/
