HEROIC WG AGGRO!
Step 1: Play creatures. Step 2: Play cheap spells that target creatures multiple times and those that grant protection from you opponent's color(s). Step 3: Attack with creature(s). Step 4: Repeat steps 2 and 3. Step 5: Pwn. MAINBOARDAkroan Skyguard: Heroic creature that can deal with opponent's creatures with flying. Favored Hoplite: Cheap creature with heroic. Allows you to make use of your multi-target spells quite early. Hero is Leina Tower: Again, cheap creature with heroic. Less useful than Favored Hoplite in the early game, but its usefulness grows as you enter the mid-game.Lagonna-Band Trailblazer: Cheap creature with heroic. Can also be useful if you are expecting opponents to hit hard with creatures in the first two turns (e.g., goblin guide). Center Soul: Decent protection spell. No as good as Emerge Unscathed, but it still targets creatures twice. Emerge Unscathed: Excellent protection spell for this deck. Targets your heroic creatures twice. Prey's Vengeance: Decent, cheap buff spell. Its most important quality is that it targets you creatures twice for just one green mana. Seeds of Strength: Awesome spell for this deck. Targets any creature(s) up to three times. So, basically it can give a creature permanent +3/+3 and +3/+3 until end of the turn for just GW. It is quite nasty if used in combination with Emerge Unscathed on Turn 3. Stand Firm: Cheap little buff spell. Mainly important for a bit of scrying. With this type of deck it's helpful to know that the cards you're about to draw are the cards you need. Vines of Vastwood: Awesome protection/buffing. Hardened Scales: This is a nice little enchantment to help pump out the +1/+1 counters. E.g., Turn 1 = Hardened Scales, Turn 2 = Akroan Skyguard, Turn 3 = Seeds of Strength + Emerge Unscathed (ten damage), Turn 4 = Groundswell (Win). Spirit Mantle: Cheap enchantment. It offers good protection if your opponent does not have removal.Unflinching Courage: Trample and lifelink are extra useful in this deck. It is important to ensure you don't need to worry about removal before casting this card. MANA BASEThis deck requires lots of lands that can 1) create G and W and 2) enter play untapped. Dryad Arbor: Helps against sacrifice effects. Temple of Plenty: Scrying ability is extra useful in a deck like this. Althought they enter the battlefield tapped, it shouldn't cause you trouble with just two in the deck. SIDEBOARDNaturalize: Cheap artifact/enchantment removal. Path to Exile: Awesome creature removal. Mana Tithe: Useful against removal and discard (e.g., inquisition of Kozilek) in the early game. Remember, this is also a combo deck. Grafdigger's Cage: This is useful for those pesky grave-casting (e.g., dredge, flashback) decks.Spider Umbra: Nice little enchantment if you are expecting to deal with sacrifice or heavy removal. Since this deck isn't the best at dealing with fliers, some help with that aspect comes in handy also.
