Shenanigans= a positional (potential) masterpiece of interactive nonsense with critters bouncing off each other like bouncy balls, all facilitated by grave, zenith, and cauldron tricks.
This whole thing was sparked by me being intrigued by Chthonian Nightmare, which absolutely fascinates me. Two mana, sac a critter, reanimate a critter. The conditions are seemingly perfect for abuse, especially since it's an enchantment that can stockpile energy through reuse, bounces itself, and can trip enchantment triggers. Since it generates its own energy, and 3 at that, you can get away with reanimating ETB critters and play all kind of tricks.
Combine that with Green Sun's Zenith, Agatha's Soul Cauldron, and Grist, and you've got a potpourri of single cards that are essentially guaranteed to combo off something else you have access to.
The best case scenario in this build is having Grist exiled on Cauldron, which lets you spawn tokens/sack tokens for removal/Nightmare tokens for reanimation, then do it all over again, essentially for free. Exile a mana dork on Cauldron, and you get an army of reanimation ETB triggers and removal. Pair that with one of the mana generators, particularly Burning-Tree Emissary or Prosperous Innkeeper, and you streamline the process into casting Nightmare a dozen times in a turn.
On top of all this, you're ever only a Green Sun's Zenith away from whatever combo piece you need to pop off.
Here's a bit of the synergy breakdown:
-seven mana dorks (on top of 4 other turn 1 mana tricks (Zenith)), generate the mana you need for Nightmare then act as the tribute fodder. Accelerates the deck then fulfills what the deck needs to get things done
-Young Wolf/Orcish Bowmasters/Kitchen Finks are double dippers that produce their own tribute fodder and typically benefit you in exactly the ways you need (lifegain/ping damage/beater stick)
-Sythis turns this build up to 11. Suddenly Nightmare refills your hand and life as well as recycling your ETB triggers and so forth
-Renegade Rallier is an absolute beast, pulling back whatever you need, either as tribute fodder or effect wise. Pair it with one of the mana producers and the whole thing streamlines like crazy
-Troll ditches itself for a mana then can be pulled back with Nightmare once you've saved up a bit of energy, which is incredibly easy in this build
