Oldschool control: saying 'no' since 1993.This style deck has been out of fashion for a while, but has never left my heart. Just say 'no' better than opponent says 'yes', then protect your fielded win condition and grind into the win.Win conditions here are grinded battle damage (clique isn't that bad actually), and Jace. Of note, I have no idea why Jace isn't played anymore, but there it is.Teferi gives the edge against other control decks, where heads up is always a problem. Other than that, a good balance of critter and noncritter hate, and almost everything at tempo or slow but good enough to deserve its spot despite that fact, such as Kozilek. My usual tricks with the landbase:-24 count cuts down mulligans but doesn't hurt while topdecking thanks to cycling lands-7 fetch lands makes for a good chance at a turn 1 Surveil land if you can't play a kozilek-Hall of Storm Giants is an absolute bitch to deal with if you can say 'no' to land hate, which this build mostly can (barring things like Ghost Quarter, which is acceptable as a +1 with tempo to you in the scheme of the build)Other than that, I'll just restate my love for Kaya's Guile, which just makes me smile. Mainboard hate against soooooo many niche strategies, and essentially never a dead draw that's affordable at tempo, and worst case gives you a +0 with a +4 life boost that helps smooth out a little land bleeding and probably gives you another turn of life to deal with something.Feedback appreciated
