Deck discussion for Modern Lantern Control

i think black is better here then splashing white inquisition of kozilek and thoughtsieze deal with more threats then path to exile can.

I know black is the traditional build so you can hit the 1-drop discards, but I wanted to see if you can build lantern control without black. Path to exile is attractive to me because it removes threats and causes a search, so you can squeeze an extra shuffle when you need it.

Not sure if this will work or not, just wanted to work with it a bit

If you haven't seen my reply on my merfolk lantern, read that first, but take your time to digest the radical concept.
Then return here.

Building a Sultai "infect lantern" ???
Sultai infect and sultai lantern are two decks that have about the same number of lands.

While sultai lantern wants to throw down ensnaring bridge and mill the opponent slowly to death, infect wants to get things over with as quickly as possible by pumping otherwise small creatures.

Because of the pump, it will be possible to attack with a 1/1 infect creature and then pump it.

While the lanterns are meant to mill away the opponents good stuff, a certain amount of mills can be focussed on drawing pump for your infect creatures, especially inkmoth nexus.

Both decktypes will be able to run discard and other early disruptors buying the time to set up shop.

Do you have the cards and the willingness to try out playing "lantern infect" ?
