Deck Description

Bloody Mary: twist on reanimator = twistimator (mater = slang for tomato)

Here's the theory: there's a fun reaction between Troll of Khazad-Dum being able to discard itself and Persist being able to reanimate it. Now, don't get me wrong, it's nowhere near as good as Persisting a game ender or the nonsense reanimation that's been prevalent in modern for a while. That being said, since it can discard itself, it is much, much more reliable. The Troll also helps land fixing and the math on topdecking, all of which ups the inevitability of the deck quite a bit.

The rest of the deck is trying to support and take advantage of this interaction. Faithless Looting is back, and being abused left and right, so I might as well see what can be done with it outside the typical uses. It interacts well with most of the other pieces of the deck, and works as a turn 1 play, turn 2 play, or topdeck. All of which, again, is attempting to amp up the inevitability as a win condition.

On top of all of this, the entire build is fast as hell, with 25 one-drops with Troll's cycle on top. Translation, you're going to have a productive turn 1 no matter what and a good chance at an explosive turn 2.

Is this enough to overcome the nonsense that's both prevalent in modern (pre and post ban) as well as the arguably better uses for Faithless Looting (I've seen so many decks built around it in the last week that can combo off in turns 1-3)? I doubt it, but it's an idea, and I'd like to see where it goes.

Fun interactions:

Turn 1 Tamiyo, turn 2 Faitheless Looting: flips Tamiyo (1 mana open, potential Clue available)

Turn 1 cycle Troll, turn 2 play Persist: 5/4 'unblockable' for 2 mana

Turn 1 Faithless Looting dumping Oculus, turn 2 play Persist or Unearth: 4/4 Flyer with its other benefits for 2 mana

Brotherhood's End does next to nothing to you (beyond unflipped Tamiyo), and lets you handle the incoming swarm of tribal decks as well as artifact decks (Opal is ubiquitous) maindecked.
