Beginner deck on a serious budget designed to show newer players how blue works and how to take advantage of its mechanics. The main draw is the saturation of instant and sorceries that you'll use for disruption that also fill the grave and let you cast your fat serpents as win conditions on the cheap, while being able to protect them. The rest of the deck gets you to that point while saying 'no' to what opponent wants to do as efficiently as possible. One of the fun features is the lower land count, which you can get away with for three reasons: 1- the curve of this deck is wickedly low, 2- your fatties are going to cost one or two mana each, 3- you're running twelve 'cantrips', which are cards that replace themselves, each of which are 1-drops that help you fill the grave, get what you want faster, and have a secondary effect of some kind. Preordain lets you dig through cards better than almost any card in the game, consider double fills the grave (potentially) at speed, and Thought Scour (used on yourself) gives you three cards in the grave, at speed, and replaces itself. Thought Scour alone makes your fatties cost three-less mana, all for a U that draws you a card. Feedback appreciated.
