Beginner friendly deck on a budget that should illustrate some of the fun black mechanics and reward you for having swamps.The gist is to say no with most of the deck and let your critters either get fielded quickly and cheaply and start the damage clock, or draw into one of the swamp buffers and drop a sledgehammer that keeps getting bigger.

It really really feels like Dross Golem should just be Vampire Nighthawk, with how much removal there is, the utility of Fear as a keyword is likely to be minimal.

That's fair. I was super attracted to the affinity for swamps idea to be able to play him turn 3 and still have 1 open, but Nighthawk comes with so many benefits it probably outweighs that idea. Good call
It's kinda sad, Razor Golem and Spire Golem used to be really good in pauper but the black one never saw any success even in a format with only commons. Cannot really see it ever working anywhere else either.
