100% agree with Magma Jet because it can be just burn to the face when you're running run out of gas, and it helps you get through crappy topdecks, so much more versatility. Rabid Hybridization is a great sideboard card. Nice deck :D

You are adorable :P
Sorry, I just don't think it belongs. I would just hate to draw that when I'm behind. Thanks for the suggestion, though.
I like the concept, here. Some cards to consider:Dissipate, Rapid Hybridization, Cackling Counterpart, Essence Scatter; Restoration Angel; Sphinx's Revelation; Oppurtunity; Jace, Architect of Thought.I'd also make the lands just a teeny bit more islandy, since almost all of your spells are blue. I looooove Blind Obedience.
I secretly want to see a singleton of Rally the Peasants. The flashback makes is like drawing two cards :o right? Right..? Maybe not :/
If the deck were running full dual lands, I'd play Orzhov Charm over Doom Blade. Better targeting (unless you're at really low life, I suppose) and a friendly bounce. But without the duals, it's not a really consistent early game like it should be.
That is super interesting. I like this concept, but you should definitely mention that in the deck description. And I'm wondering if the curve your presenting consider things like the fact that Awaken the Ancient is kind of like a 5 drop, since if you drop it on turn 4 you can't take advantage of the haste? Would a Thunderous Wrath count a 6 converted mana cost even though you can play it for 1 mana if you miracle? Also you only have 2 one-drops and 12 two-drops, am I missing something in your formula or is this on purpose? Sorry if I sound like I'm being really critical, I'm really genuinely interested.
I really like the deck, but the mana base could really use some work. I'm sure you're aware of all the dual lands and I'd definitely recommend them in there (4 Temple Garden, 4 Sunpetal Grove, 7 Plains, 5 Forest or some variation where Plains outnumber Forest). I just see this missing a lot of really crucial early game drops because most of your cards are so color heavy. I'd also make this more weenie and get rid of Odric, Increasing Savagry, Ranger's Guile for some Thalia and maybe some Imposing Sovereign, make this a really solid weenie. I'd rather have Mikaeus, the Lunarch instead of Archangel of Thune in the sideboard since it's a human and it pretty much performs the same function as Archangel for probably less mana. Thraben Doomsayer could also be a good sideboard for some of the longer control matches where you're trying to dodge supreme verdicts or bonfires. Good luck with the deck, interested to see what direction you go with it.
In my opinion, 18 lands are far too few for the Hellkite (and honestly, far too few even without the Hellkite). If you must have some more high mana threats, Hellrider is an absolute beast in a creature-based deck like this. Other cards to consider: Ash Zealot, Fervant Cathar, Vexing Devil, even Boros Reckoner (though he belongs in the sideboard). I don't really see much use for Volcanic Strength in the main deck; even against other red decks, it's really situational because more often than not they'll just kill your target (because they're playing red). And again, I can't stress enough: this deck needs at least 21 lands to play Hellkite effectively, and even then, I would just recommend cutting out the Hellkite and upping the land base to 20. Nice work overall, though; I like your concept of cancelling out blockers and the efficient, cheap creatures.
I really like this deck. If I were to think about it, I'd probably have some suggestions here and there, but I really like the premise. Just drawing a couple of sample hands, I'd say it could use some more creatures (off the top of my head, Acidic Slime definitely fits the theme). Anyway, nice deck :)
One or two Reforge the Soul might help with card draw. One or two Thunderous Wrath is a really good miracle. I think the Vexing Devil might be alright in the first game, but any smart player will just let it stay on the field after they realize you're not really that aggro of a deck. Chandra's Phoenix would be a nice addition.
How about Syndic of Tithes or Vitu-Ghazi Guildmage to funnel some of your extra mana into if you get land-flooded? Rootborn Defenses might also be something to think about, even though you don't really have much to populate.
Frankly, I would just get rid of white...it seems really underwhelming and will just clutter up your mana. Chromatic Lantern, Boros Charm, Blaze Commando out. Izzet Charm in. And if you were interested in a Twincast type ability, I would recommend Increasing Vengeance or Wild Ricochet more than Twincast.
No trouble at all, I'm glad I could help :)
I agree..but I'm having trouble deciding on what. I guess Entering, maybe Morgue Burst...I think I have to go Oros colors instead and include Unburial Rites..because that is definitely the best for this.
While you are right that the actual color of the card is dictated by it's mana cost (or what's written in the rules text, like with Pact of Negation or Evermind), the problem is that Commander/EDH Guidelines state that the "color identity" of a card, for the purposes of building a Commander/EDH deck, is also determined by any mana symbol that appears in the text of that card (and to be even more specific, mana symbols in the reminder text of a card does not count towards it's color identity; Blind Obedience, for example). Here are the rules, straight from the horse's mouth http://www.dragonhighlander.net/rules.php
Nice work, man! I made a Melek EDH of my own and you gave me some good ideas. I'm not 100% on the number of creatures myself, but to each their own. You definitely picked the right tribe for it, though; lots of good card draw, counters, and some deck manipulation. And thanks for the land list, I was missing like half of those.
I'd like to keep the deck as creature free as possible, if I can. I might put something in that shuffles the graveyard into the library though...that would probably be a pretty good idea. Thanks for the suggestion, anyway :)
Krak-Clan Ironworks would definitely be a replacement worth considering and Claws of Gix, perhaps only for it's 0 mana cost (it might help with combo making? I'm not 100% sure)
Nice one. Not good enough for the main, but a solid sideboard. Also, after looking through everything, I figured I could use some more Legion Loyalist in my life :)
