Deck Description

My first attempt at a mill deck.

How to Play

Pretty straight forward. Start milling as fast as you can. If mill gets boring, smash them in the face Consuming Abberation.

Deck discussion for Big Swing Mill

Throw artful dodge in there so they can't chump block consuming aberration :) even if you were to discard it with dreamscape artist, it has a flashback for one blue.

I run both in my mill deck and it is absolutely devastating! swinging for an easy 30 or 40+

Are you sure you want to run Haunting Echoes? Dont get me wrong, I love the card and ran it in a mill deck for years. But it completely undermines your Consuming Aberration..?

Very true. I think I'll replace them with the Artful Dodge suggested above.

You might want to think about Glimpse the Unthinkable if you're willing to drop some cash into this bad boy. They also further verify your choice to splash black.

MDW!
(Mill deck wins)
Two milldecks have recently gotten top placements in modern. Now you know.

I've copyed them onto my "page" for everyone to see.

I'm WDM, and I play a lot of mill!

WDM-MDW for sure :D

Since there were two very different designs winning, I think the cards they shared in common should be a hint towards what actually works for mill...

Here's what the two winning designs got in common:
4 hedron crabs
4 archive trap
4 visions of beyond
4 glimpse the unthinkable
3 cards giving slight card advantage (either snapcaster mage or augur of bolas)
2 cards discarding important stuff (either thoughtseize or surgical extraction)
