i've added a playset of altar's reap to the main and the deck has been a lot more consistently, thanks for the suggestion. I also tried out rooftop storm but it just felt like it was too slow.these are the changes i made:-3 diregraf ghoul-3 blood artist+4 altar's reap+1 diregraf captain+1 dimir charm

i like aberration but i felt like the mana cost was too high for this deck, i actually might try a few games with it just to test it out but i'd really prefer to keep everything at 4cmc or loweri've been working on a slower more mill-centric deck that uses aberrations as the main win-con maybe you could give me a few thoughts on that list, http://www.mtgvault.com/denofbears/decks/standard-dimir/
i decided to replace the mana leaks with negate, also made a couple of changes to the deck after a little bit of testing. i replaced the psychic strikes with dissipate just because its a stonger counterspell and the extra mill wasn't really necessary, also added a full set of jace's phantasm so that the deck doesn't get completely dominated by aggrothe sideboard was just thrown together for the most part and will be getting updated in the next day or so after i have a chance to test some things out.
i didn't notice the mana leaks when i was putting it together, i'll probably replace them with either syncopate or negate. I'll test it with both and update the deck later tonight
recently updated this deck with some more scavengers and more consistent mana base, as well as an asceticism for a bit of creature protection. anyone have any thoughts on improving this deck further?
comments? criticisms?
yeah i get that, i don't have too many playsets that would fit in this deck so i just tried to go with a variety of small threats for early pressure and a couple of bombs for the late game if i make it that far. I haven't run into any real consistency problems in playtesting. I've only had a chance to play about 10 games with it but i haven't really found myself hoping to draw a specific card. I do agree that slimming things down and cutting out most of the unnecessary creatures and spells would make things run quite a bit smoother.
any suggestions for cards i can add to make this deck a little less lame?
