Deck Description

An aggro-combo deck focusing in the early game on getting the required winning cards into your hand (Flamekin Harbinger) and mana acceleration (Smokebraider/Brighthearth Banneret) to get them into play. The main cards in the deck for damage-dealing are Nova Chaser and Thunderblust, backed up by Elemental Appeal. These cards can either be played normally, accelerated for the most part by the Smokebraiders and Bannerets, or they can be played with the key card, Incandescent Soulstoke. The Soulstoke is the catalyst for the game-winning creatures - it allows Nova Chaser and Thunderblust to be played for 2 mana, which is a simple matter for a Smokebraider to deal with, and in the case of Thunderblust, when it is sacrificed at the end of the turn, it returns to play persisted and with trample, and with +1/+1 from the Soulstoke as well, with the sacrifice effect no longer present. Soul's Fire is another key game-winning card in conjunction with the big creatures such as Nova Chaser - with the combination of Smokebraider, Soulstoke, Nova Chaser and Soul's Fire, the Smokebraider can tap to put the Chaser into play with Incandescent's ability, and then for 3 mana on top of that Soul's Fire is played, dealing 22+ trampling damage and usually winning the game, often as early as turn 4 or 5.
