B/R discard (fun and cheap)

Modern Black and Red discard deck. As you notice this deck is almost creatureless, beside the 3 hellhole rats (and the optional sideboard that i will explain later.). The aim of this deck is to control the opponent until you have the necessary damage to kill it. Its not impossible that you finish off the opponent in 4 turns or 5 very often as this deck is capable of dealing a ridicolous amount of damage. (ie: turn 2 liliana's caress, followed by megrim on turn 3, 2 burning inquiry on 4 th turn gg 24 damage or on turn 4 diabolic tutor to setup up the kill the turn after. With 4 liliana caress and 4 megrim you have to be very unlucky not to play them at least once every match. Even then you can kill the opponent with burn in his face or creatures.)

Cards guide:

Hellhole rats: the only creature in the deck. They make the opponent discard a card (so a potential 2 or 4 damage guarantee most of the time with the enchants on the table ) PLUS another extra damage (the cmc of the discarded card - use them if they are holding back one card and it can be devastating.) PLUS the haste so a potential 2 damage or just a chump blocker. They are lovely creatures indeed. Swap them with Anathemancer if the opponent is playing lot of nonbasic lands.

Megrim&Liliana's caress: self-explanatory the bone of the deck to deal massive amount of damage. Usually its better to put them out as soon as possible.

Lavaclaw reaches: It gives the deck 3 things, the possibility of dealing extra damage, to hold off attackers and to fix mana issues. I feel like 2 is the correct number as more might be useless and make you lose tempo.

Blightning: use it once you put one of the enchants for 7 damage in the face and 2 less cards in their hand. Simply great if you have 2 and happen to have 2 of the enchants on the field (you will do 22 damage in total.)

Terminate: great removal . Use it on creatures that might you lot of problems and end the game fast. Add 2 more if you feel you have to play more defensivly.

Burning Inquiry: the king of the deck. Use two of them after you put 2 enchants and its game over. Use them also as desperate action to mess your opponents plan and recycle some card (ie: you have 3 lands and 1 burning inquiry in that case it would be great to use it as , unless very unlucky you will have better cards)

Diabolic tutor: having problem to find the 2nd burning inquiry to finish him off? you really need one liliana's caress more? or you just think its time to throw a bolt in their face? this card helps you do all those things!

Reverberate: at the start i used duress but i figured out how a reverberate can help immensily to finish a game (burning inquiry+reverberate? 12 damage with 1xliliana's caress or just 24 with 2). The double red cost can look hard to overcome but since you will be using it as finisher you should have at least 2 / 3 red mana at that time. Also, can help to counter counterspell (copy it and target the counter).

Stagger shock&Lightning bolt: use them to remove creatures or finish them off. simple as that.

Sign in blood: use it on you if you feel like you need some cards or combo it with blightning if they have no cards or 1 card in hand. (2 damage from sign in blood+4/8 from the discard+3 from blightning) (so from 5 to 13 damage normally).

Sideboard:

Damnation & pyroclasm are needed to deal with weenie/aggro decks, where anthemancer & terminate is more for 3 colors control decks. Manic vandal is vs artifact decks or just that damn shrine of burning rage in RDW.
