Dubious Challenge is an interesting idea, but it has a major flaw: the opponent chooses first. This deck tries to work around this flaw while still being a decent enough deck to run at FNM.
The work around the flaw of Dubious Challenge is the 8 flicker creatures. Basically you reveal the big creature you want and a flicker creature and if the opponent chooses the big creature, you flicker it to ger it back at the end of the turn. See the Unwritten is effectively Dubious Challenge numbers 5-7.The reason for 4 Wurmcoil is that Arbor Elf + Utopia Sprawl (+ 3 lands) can result in casting the Wurm on turn 3.Preferred flicker creature and big creature pairings to reveal off the Challenge:> Tentacruel and Glimmerpoint Stag. Glimmerpoint doesn't have flying, so if the opponent chooses it to at least get something, Tentacruel can fly right over it. > Iona, Shield of Emeria and Glimmerpoint Stag. Same reason as Tentacruel. > Blightsteel Colossus and Flickerwisp. Blightsteel has trample, Flickerwisp has 1 toughness. Arbor Elf + Utopia Sprawl can ramp into a turn two Dubious Challenge:Turn one: Forest, Elf. Turn two: {Any untapped green source}, enchant untapped Forest with Utopia Sprawl, tap enchanted forest for two mana, untap it with Elf, tap again for another two mana, Dubious Challenge.

NOTE: Set by owner when deck was made.
Eldrazi Displacer would work great with Dubious Challenge. It gets around Emrakul, the Aeons Torn and Iona, Shield of Emeria (being colorless). But, only downfall would become an instant target for removal, then again what doesn't? Plus, there is always Brooding Saurian so whatever they take you will get it back at your end step.

This is actually my 4th (or is it the 5th) design. The previous one had 2 Brooding Saurian in addition to the flickers, but this design drops them in favour of taking the easier to cast (without cheating in) Wurmcoil Engine up to 4x.
I was going to tell you to add Bronzebomb Shell into the deck, but once I checked the Dubious Challenge rules I felt let down :(.http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=417725Brilliant Deck as always.
Ya, every step of the Challenge's effects is optional.
I was thinking that, since the card did not say anything, the exiled creatures would be faced down making the choice harder. Unfortunately, the rules state otherwise which would have made it quiet cruel especially if there were two shells in exile.
Testing a slightly different version of this on XMage at the moment. So many misfires :(Deck's sideboard definitly needs mass removal for against decks that go wide.
