Been wanting to build a Relentless Rats deck for a while now, but collecting enough of the card without buying it is proving difficult. One day I realised, that with the help of Adaptive Automaton, a similar deck can be made using Elf Lords. This is one attempt at making a Relentless "Elves" deck.
My idea for a Relentless Rats deck is22 Swamp 4 Thrumming Stone 3 Marrow-Gnawer 31 Relentless Rats To change this into "Relentless Elves", Relentless Rats will need to be replaced by as many Lords as possible. For Lords I have:4 Adaptive Automaton - The only lord without an extra effect. 2 Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen - a lord that gains life. 4 Elvish Archdruid - who doesn't like extra mana? 4 Elvish Champion - Firestwalk won't come into play every game, but in the games it does, the Champion is king. 2 Ezuri, Renegade Leader - while technically not a 'normal' lord, Ezuri supplies some nice effects (regen and "Overrun").4 Imperious Perfect - This can produce a small army, given enough turns. 4 Joraga Warcaller - Never play him without kicking him at least once. Perfect dump (other than Ezuri) for Elvish Archdruid's mana. That's 24 Lords, a significant amount less than the 31 Rats in my idea, but still a decent number. It also opens space for other cards, like Llanowar Elves and Elvish Mystic to help play the Lords on turn two. Thrumming Stone doesn't work as well here as the Lords have different names. In my search for a replacement for the Stone, I found Descendants' Path to be a good replacement as it looks at type, not name. It may work at a much slower pace, but it's also cheaper to bring out ({2}{G} vs {5}).I think Elvish Champion's forestwalk and Ezuri's "Overrun" cover Marrow-Gnawer's role well enough, so there's no need to find an equivalent. Down side is, this opens up more room.

I know from personal experience, the Obelisk is GREAT!! There's no greater feeling than casting it on turn three!! Good work!

Thanks. I had the Obelisk in a Goblin token based deck, it's awesome.
Would door of destinies work? Also, what do you do against board wipes.
Door is surprisingly slow, believe me, I've tried it (I own four of it. With Ezuri and Elvish Archdruid out, you're safe from one board wipe. Archdruid taps for enough mana for Ezuri to regenerate all other Elves. Ezuri will be the only one to die as he can't regen himself. Additionally, if you know you're playing against board wipes, hold back on a few Lords. This helps you jump straight back into the game after a wipe.
