Played this deck last Friday (24 Jan 2014) and came second :D
Heritage Druid and Elvish Archdruid to help play cards out by (hopefully) turn 3 / 4.Hold off on playing Ezuri, Renegade Leader until the turn you want to attack, Just pump as much mana as possible into the +3/+3 and trample ability. This is unless you need to use the regen for tactical blocking <- did this against Hexproof Auras :PJoraga Warcaller is best played after an Archdruid or Bramblewood has entered play.Essence Warden serves three rolls:-Cheap creature to use on Heritage Druid-Buy time with lifegain-lightning rod because of lifegainGrafdigger's Cage is to help fight Grapeshot Storm as it stops flashback :)Elvish Champion's can serve a similar role to Joraga against decks that run forests.Squall Line works well against Splinter Twin (if only I could've drawn it in time) and as a wayto finish the opponent off if you've managed to gain enough life off Essence Warden to set you higher than the opponent.

sweet deck, i have a slightly similar casual deck and this makes me wonder if i should hone it for modern. do you have trouble with pyroclasm and the like? also, what do you think about the possibility of eldrazi monument? and is there a reason you aren't running nettle sentinel, or do you just not have room for it?

I've found my mainboard doesn't change much, it's fairly solid in what it does, thus there's not much room for anything else. Remember, my group's meta is fairly quick, so even with the mana accelleration in here, I can't afford to include something that costs 5 mana, it's (surprisingly) too expensive, and I have to sac a creature every turn. The deck needs to be able to work without the token base, Ratchet Bomb is a very real threat (you can't rely on 1 card to save them). The sideboard changes quite a bit, depending on the meta at the time (and what I have to use against it), but I always have the Elvish Champions and Squall Lines in there. Squall Line is more a one hit surprise, so if the game does go on to game 3 against the opponent, I generally side it out again.
Why not slash in blue and play the beck side of beck/call. It's the closest to glimpse of nature and should allow you to win that turn.
Is Heedless One legal in Modern? I think it would be a good card to add considering all of your elves.
