Deck Description

Infinite Counter using Merfolk tokens; Lullmage Mentor; and Intruder Alarm.

How to Play

Main combo:
Lullmage Mentor + Intruder Alarm + 6 other Merfolk - counter anything and everything the opponent plays.

Silvergill Douser + Merfolk Thaumaturgist - give any targatable creature 0 toughness, killing it.

Stonybrook Schoolmaster & Summon the School - more token creatures for the main combo.

Judge of Currents - gain life each time you tap a Merfolk, keeping you alive long enough to assemble the main combo and kill off everything with the Douser + Thaumaturgist combo.

Merrow Commerce - gets around Intruder Alarm's "don't untap" clause. Can also be tapped for Lullmage Mentor's counter ability and Summon the School's return to hand ability. Untaps itself.

Deck discussion for Infinite Counter Merfolk

it looks like this deck would be fun to use and I like the infinite counters but you can only get the counters once you have seven merfolk out. but you do have a few good ways to get lots of merfolk out.
overall great job!

Between Stonybrook Schoolmaster; Summon the School; and Intruder Alarm, you can Swarm the opponent quite quickly.

Might be a dumb question but.. Why does Merrow Commerce's ability get precedence over Intruder Alarm's?

Intruder Alarm's ability says; "Creatures don't untap during their controllers' untap steps." This does not stop them being untapped via other means.

Merrow Commerce's ability says; "At the end of your turn, untap all Merfolk you control." This happens duting your end step, not during your utap step, so it is unaffected by Intruder Alarm.
