The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...
Start typing a card name and use the auto-complete feature to quickly select the card you're trying to add. Enter a quantity and add that card to your sideboard!
Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.
Always wanted to make Shade tribal work, but the problem is that there's only a handfull of good Shades. This, I think, is the best I've been able to design so far.*This is NOT a dedicated Devotion deck, I'm merely using devotion as a way to maximise the activated ability of the Shades. If I was going to make a Devotion to Black deck, it'd be a VERY different list.
Because a Shade's ability requires a lot of excess mana to be good, I felt like Devotion was the best way, but in my search of Gatherer I also came across two creatures that can accelerate {B} mana: Crypt Ghast (which I knew about) and Nirkana Revenant (which is also a Shade). So the idea is to attack with Shades, then use Devotion (Nykthos) and / or the mana acceleration creature's abilities to pump whichever Shade went unblocked to deal tons of damage in one swing.I wanted to include a Tribal lord effect for the Shades, but with so many non-Shade creatures (mostly for the Devotion plan), I settled on using Bad Moon.

This looks really cool. If it's not too expensive I feel that Phyrexian Obliterator could work well.

Was trying to stay away from too many of the big "Devotion" cards ( Gray Merchant of Asphodel was too good not to include) as I wanted the Shades to be the focal point of the deck.In a proper Devotion to Black deck would have a lot more value creatures, including Phyrexian Obliterator.
You know is actually funny, I was trying to build this exact same deck concept earlier but then stopped. Like from me!
Great minds and all that :)Thanks for the like.
Of course! Haha.
I have a GREAT card choice for you I think you should use over Slithering Shade. "Whip of Erebos".
If I could work in a way to get Hellbent easier, Slithering Shade would be better than Whip of Erebos. Thinking of dropping Dismember for something else that's cheap, which would help reach Hellbent a little easier. No actual discard, but actually playing out the had quickly. Maybe a pair of Dread Wanderer for more 1 drops that also take advantage of an empty hand.
I made a deck like your's is there anything I should change?https://www.mtgvault.com/frey/decks/emo/
Do you actually need Bad Moon? What is it worth that a shade that can be pumped to 10/10 is 11/11 with Moon? I think this lacks a bit in diversity because all those shades don't trample, don't fly and generally don't do anything besides being fat if you spend all your mana. I know it's a shade deck but that's why I would not use Bad Moons as support. Some suggestions:- Whip of Erebos- Triumph of Cruelty- Herald of Torment
No Liliana of the Veils and Bloodghasts? It would only raise the price of the deck by 400%, lol. I know I enjoy playing two Phyrexian Obliterator and one Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet in my mono-black devotion deck. They are pretty powerful when on the board. Also, Fulminator Mage could be an interesting fit as well.
