Deck based around Tainted Remedy. Sideboard contains other cards I considered.
Main combo: Tainted Remedy + Wall of Shards. Wall of Omens and Sign in Blood to search for combo pieces. Sign in Blood can also be used to "Shock" the opponent for the last few points of damage. Ghostly Prison + Walls help you stay alive long enough to drain the opponent. With Tainted Remedy out, Condemn, Healing Salve, and Blessed Alliance can "burn" Through the opponent's life total. Healing Salve and Blessed Alliance can be turned on yourself to help you survive. Faith's Shield should have mote copies in the actual sideboard to help protect the combo pieces.

No Swords to Plowshares?

Also, Alms Beast has done some solid work for my Tainted Remedy deck.https://www.mtgvault.com/serentious/decks/killing-with-kindness/Just some Ideas...
Swords isn't Modern legal
Devour Flesh, Last breath, Rest for the Weary, Swords of Plowshares, Healing Hands, Oust and Phthisis are some good options to include in this deck.P.S. the Swords seems to register as Modern Legal, don't know if it is a glitch.
All good options. When in doubt, check Gatherer. Vault's got a few bugs and Swords seems to be one of them.http://gatherer.wizards.com/
Yea, sorry, my bad. Fixed it now, also Swords to Plowshares ;) Add [[ ]] around a card name and it should auto link if it can find it
Awesome. Thanks for all the good work Ian. Wasn't aware auto linking was live :)
It kinda got uploaded by accident when I moved over to HTTPS. It's not perfect, but it works, just ;)
What about Alms Beast for that added troll?
Perhaps false cure to add more consistency to the theme of your deck?
Sadly, that too isn't Modern legal
Aw, damn. That sucks
A few more swamps maybe...?
Quickly, make this four colours for Grove of the Burnwillows. Totally worth it.But really, you should consider 4 colors. You get access to Fiery Justice. And we all like our Justice to be Fiery.
Grove and Fiery Justice are great cards. Going 4 colours would also open up Heroes' Reunion; Healing Leaves (the green Healing Salve); and Stream of Life. But doing all of this requires a complete overhaul, and maybe I will at a later stage, but for now, my attention has been going towards Standard and whether or not Bloodbraid Elf will work in Ponza.
Bloodbraid will definitiely work in Ponza. Drop Mwonvuli for Molten Rain and you've got yourself a deck. Cascading into a Blood Moon or Tireless Tracker just sounds like hot value.
Wow... Fiery justice is absurd with Tainted Remedy.
That's 4 color. Look at Devour Flesh though.
Well, devour flesh is nice but it requires your opponent to have a decent sized creature. So it's good against creature decks, but not combo decks.
Since you've got 4 and 8 Toughness walls what about Ensnaring Bridge instead of Ghostly Prison? Would just need to keep your hand size at 3 and then nobody could swing at you with something you couldn't handle (except maybe with death-touch), even if they did you've got some OK answers for guys.
Ghostly Prison doesn't care for hand size, allowing you to slam it early and hold onto cards to drain the opponent with while waiting on Tainted Remedy. It's more a delaying tactic than anything else. Most importantly, Ghostly Prison is cheaper ($).
That's all fair logic. I just prefer the bridge cause it thwarts ridiculous decks like Through the Breach.
The argument can be made that if you already have it, it's effectively free :p
how about beacon of immortality for an OTK?
That's an awesome one. Will suggest it to the friend I designed this for.
In my opinion, Tainted remedy is too mana-expensive to be the base of the deck. You could maybe create a mana ramp with green and use green instead of white to make the opponent gain life.
You could sideboard Congregate for token spam decks or if they seem to get a lot of creatures.
What about Sanguine Bond as the Backup to tainted Remedy. That way you can target the life-gain at yourself and still hurt the opponent. What about Chalice of life?
Exquisite Blood would be better.
Why not both?
You also need more ways to get Tainted Remedy into your hand (ie Tutoring)If you were rich I would suggest Idyllic Tutor (white sorcery)The more budget option would be Dimir Machinations (average price $1.00) You are using the card for the trasmute ability (discard the card from hand for 3 mana, and fetch a 3 mana card from library)Serum Powder is an artifact you can use for its mulligan enhancement ability to better ensure you have one of the 2 key cards in starting hand.
Dimir Machinations will work
Wall of Essense instead of Wall of Omens. As im looking more and more at this, iF i was doing it, I would focus more on a lifegain deck with Tainted Remedy and Sanguine Bond as the win-cons.
I think Wall of Omens is mostly for the draw aspect and a bonus blocker.
Very impressive build
If You want to splash red,Rain of gore as alternative to tainted remedy.
Nice deck, i have one similar with green. I would suggest Lifelink for whatever threatening creature they may play.
How about Rest for the Weary then following with a land?
Time for the new Healing Grace from Dominaria to replace healing salve. I love this deck btw.
Sadly the newer spell says "You gain 3 life" not "target player"
I run a few cliffhaven vampire in my deck. They are 1 less CMC than sanguine blood. I splashed green in my so I could run Heroe's Reunion and Sterling grove as a tutor and protection for tainted remedy

Ahh OK so you expanded the format as well. Keep in mind you'd be facing even more absurd decks in a competative environment.
