Deck Description

I got the idea for this after facing off against one of the younger players in my club. This is more or less the direction I'd take the deck I faced.

Guttersnipe and Goblin Electomancer are key (especially snipe).

The idea is to have 1 (or more) Guttersnipe out then keep playing spells to do damage trough snipe's ability.

Deck discussion for Gutter Snpied

Firstly, you need some more counterspells, to protect you snipers. I'm not sure how much the elctromancers add, since everything is cheap. Could be worth including 4 snapcasters instead?

If your opponent is able to disrupt the guttersnipes, then this falls apart.

Also think you need to add some more control. Atm, ur spells largely target creatures. I think u could include more counter spells, to firstly protect ur snipers, and secondly add disruption.

This could be a long game - what happens if u have no snipes in opening hand, and don't pick up any in a while? If you had counters, u could hold the opponent off, and snapcaster could allow them to be reused after u've got to ur snipers. Prob worth including 4*index so u can make sure u get what u need, when u need it.

Nice idea, just needs a little perfecting I think.

Thanks for the input. I almost never play blue (I'm a green mage at heart), so I really appreciate the suggestions. This is more to show the kid what my train of thought was when I played against him, thus it's rough design that'll need tweaking to his preferences.

Word thats cool. Could you give me some advice on my version of this deck? I'm trying to run a budget one for FNM(no snaps or duel lands) I want to see if I have the right balance of control and them burn to win.

You really should consider running 4 Snapcaster Mages in this deck.

I built a similar deck that you may want to check out.
