Deck Description

This is what I'm trying to do to the green land destruction deck I currenly use. I got most of the cards already, just missing 2x Winter's Grasp, 2x Rootrunner and 2x Fallow Earth.
This deck is for fun casual play.

Deck discussion for Green Land Destuction

How do you do damage to them?

Four 3/3 creatures wont cut it for early blocking against a fast deck.

Needs more Grizzly Bears.

I've only used this deck in casual multiplayer and politics plays a big role in me staying alive. I'm still trying to decide what to put in for early defence.

or llanowar elves, elvish visionary and harmonize, to start with the anti-land early enough to slow even fast decks down and keep it up till their dead. Acidic Slime destroys almost anything and its 5. even has deathtouch, so yeah it can destroy everything. brown recluse is a cheep 1/2 reach deathtouch. that'll cause most to pause long enough. or kill the biggest problem.

and if u want to be really unpopular.....

... sphere of resistance! (2, all spells cost 1 extra to cast)

and who can forget

.... Winter orb! (2, each player can only untap one land during their untap phase)

The only thing I can see with this deck that would be an issue (besides the lack of quick destruction) is that you are just putting lands on top of your opponent's library instead of out-right destroying them. I might suggest adding the following instead of Uproot & Fallow Earth:

4x Drain the Well
2x Rolling Spoil
2x Thermokast -or- Ice Storm

These destroy the land outright and in the case of Drain the Well, gives you life too.

I actually want to turn it into mostly putting the land back on top. This will result in him not drawing what he would have, setting him back one turn :P

That's a good point there. If all he's doing is continually drawing the same mana over and over, it'll sure as hell frustrate someone, lol! I might suggest removing 2 Rampant Growths as well as the Root Runners, and adding Llanowar Mentor (x2) and Llanowar Elves (x4). This will give you lots of additional mana to ensure you can continually cast. The only issue I see really is the damage capability though. Perhaps Ivy Elemental? That's an excellent low cost card that can be a nice big creature.
