Deck Description

My take on the Pioneer Mono Green "Devotion" Stompy lists.

Sideboard is still a work in progress.

For you Explorer players:

The following cards are not on Arena yet:
Main Deck:
Elvish Mystic
Aspect of Hydra
Nylea, God of the Hunt

Sideboard:
Back to Nature

In the main deck:
There's no real good replacement for Elvish Mystic. You could play Gilded Goose, but that only really gets you one use of food unless you put more mana into the Goose to create more Food.

While the function is completely different, I'd use Voracious Hydra in Aspect of Hydra's slot. It's not a pump spell, but it is another threat and a removal spell.

As for Nylea, her main role is to give the rest of the team trample as this deck lacks evasion otherwise.
Garruk's Uprising, while not a creature, and thus not a threat, is the best substitute for Nylea's role of giving the team trample.
Alternativley, you could go up to 3x Ghalta and add a 4th Primal Might.

And for the Sideboard:
Back to Nature is easily replaced by any card that hates on enchantments and artifacts, like Return to Nature. We lose the ability to destroy the Aura decks with one card, but gain the versatility to hit problematic artifacts or snipe a creature in the grave vs mono black

How to Play

This decks main plan is to get out big beat sticks as early as turn 2, and beat the opponent's face.

Old-Growth Troll; Steel Leaf Champion; and Yorvo can be played as early as turn 2 with the help of a turn 1 Elvish Mystic or Llanowar Elves.

All these 3 drops cost {G}{G}{G}, which makes both Aspect of Hydra better and helps animate Nylea while she's on the battlefield.

Nylea's primary role in this deck it to provide Trample to the other creatures as not all have ways to evade being blocked. being an indestructible 6/6 and being able to pump other creatures is a bonus.

Questing Beast is just too good not to include in a deck like this.

Werewolf Pack Leader is a great turn 2 play if you don't have a mana dork to help play one of the 3 drops on turn 2 (likely because it got killed). The Werewolf also provides some card advantage.

Ghalta, Primal Hunger was added because I had 1 extra slot open. If I find he preforms well, i may up him to 2 copies, taking out the 4th Yorvo to make space.

Primal Might is the main fight spell here, chosen over other fight spell options for the ability to pump the creature too (and it's not a dead card if there are no fight targets)

Aspect of Hydra is the main reason I have favored the {G}{G}{G} creatures over the other possible 3 mana threats. An aspect on an unblocked or trampling threat can be game over for the opponent.
