The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

A Standard combo idea a friend informed me about (combo explained below). The problem is assembling the combo, a way to win once the combo is active, and that this is a minimum 4 card combo. You're assistance with this would be appreciated.
Infinite Combo:Step 1) Get Paradox Engine and Servant of the Conduit on the battlefield, and Greenbelt Rampager in hand.Step 2) Play Greenbelt Rampager to get 1 energy and bounce Greenbelt with its own ability, untapping all nonland permanents.Step 3) Tap Servant of the Conduit to spend the 1 energy to play Greenbelt, which repeats step 2.Step 4) Repeat step 3 until satisfied. What's missing:A use for Greenbelt Rampager entering or leaving the battlefield; or infinite castings of Greenbelt, or infinite untapping of some other nonland permanent. Possible ideas I've come across:1) Aetherflux Reservoir - Because you're casting Greenbelt, you'll gain a LOT of life. 2) Rishkar and / or Druid of the Cowl - Infinite {G} because each casting will untap them.2.b) Walking Ballista - A use for infinite mana.2.c) Fall of the Titans / Burn from Within - Servant of the Conduit can tap the final energy for the {R}.

NOTE: Set by owner when deck was made.
Why are you looking beyond Aetherflux Reservoir? It does not only gain you life, it has a second ability that means you also deal 50 damage for 50 life you spend. Reservoir is colour neutral. What more do you want?Okay, you could also play with Altar of the Brood for infinite mill. It only costs 1 mana, so it's easier to set up, however, it doesn't you grant life and is therefore useless until the combo is complete.

I aggree with this, sort of, alter isnt standard so reservoir has to be htere if you want to play this at FNM. I feel that you don't need other uses for the combo, just having it in your deck is enough as your will poabbaly draw it when games go long enough? Id say adding some shocks and some vaule like abaourback stomper? With the decoction module and or or two wheler vertuoso? 1-2 dissallow... and some radient flames for sweepers and 3 puse or murasa to get back either of the creautres you lost. Arbourback stoper does snot get enough love as is a great stablisation card. Remeber though, there are some sick artifacts running about at the moment, so dependig on your meta you might want to be running cards that deal with that main as well as side. Seeing as you are you two colours at the momont you can decide on a splash! Id say spash black as you can genrate energy for any hubs you draw, and trigger revolt for fatal push. Painful truths seems good for helping you find the combo as well.
Altar isn't Type II legal? So, my search engine isn't up to date ... that's why I usually don't comment on Type II decks ...
Reservoir it is then. I shall inform my friend, but I'll only get to designing the full deck later. Thanks.
From what I'm seeing, you have a problem with the energy you generated from Servant of the Conduit as it will force you to use them on Greenbelt Rampager. So I suggest you play Longtusk Cub to absorb exactly two energy counters and therefore avoid Greenbelt's condition.
Spending the excess Energy shouldn't be too difficult, but it could depend on the support cards. I'm thinking red and / or blue as secondary colours, red for the likes of Harnessed Lightning, and blue because it's usually better at assembling combo pieces.
Why is that a "problem"? Unspent energy may be unused potential but it isn't harmful. And if you accumulated lots of energy, that means you got your engine running, thus, you are probably about to win anyway. If you are considering adding blue, Confiscation Coup would be a good energy sink.
Paying {E}E}, if you have it, to keep Greenbelt is mandatory. Thus I would need something to drain my energy once I've assembled the combo.
Oh - finally a new card with drawbacks? I assumed you had the choice to pay.
you should think about putting in some decoction modules and panharmonicons to add to the amount of energy you are getting from playing the greenbelt, maybe even throw in whirler virtuoso as well so you can go infinite with it and create a ton of thopters. There is also territorial gorger, which would get huge from the repeated playing of the greenbelt.
Not standard but I've been playing a variant of this combo with my Frontier playing friends and it abuses impact tremors & Outpost siege. Tons of fun!
