Still need to work out what other creatures to include and how many lands. I think 18-20 lands should be fine as Life From the Loam easily 'draws' you lands.Dakmor Salvage could be useful for extra Dredge. Just not sure it's necessary with all the other Dredge. Necroplasm could be useful against tokens, post sideboard. Cards actually cast: Life From the Loam (1G)Unburial Rites (flashback for 3W)Faithless Looting (R the flashback for 2R)So I only need mana for WRG. --------------------------------------------------------My friends and I have reworked the deck some. New version can be found here:http://www.mtgvault.com/dedwards/decks/dredge-end-v2/
Dredge to fill the graveyard. Flashback Unburial Rites to return Goblin Dark-Dwellers. Use Goblin Dark-Dwellers ability to cast Living End. All creatures in the graveyard will be returned with Flame-Kin Zealot giving them all +1/+1 and haste. Attack. ...Win?

Whats the Golgari Thug for?

More Dredge.
Isn't there something better out there? Especially considering his when-I-die-ability which isn't a may effect, you risk having to put another dredge guy on top of your lib if you run the Thug.I'd rather go with the Darkmore Salvages and add more ways to discard stuff - Faithless Looting, Strongarm Tactics, something like that.
There is another reason, it's a body to return with Living End, and if I'm right, it'll get the +1/+1 and haste from Flame-Kin Zealot. Also, it's the third highest Dredge number, only superseded by the Imp's 5 and Troll's 6
I too would prefer faithless looting, because it's more controlled. inquiery does dig a bit deeper, but is it deep enough? (It dredges so much more, but is that a bonus?)
How could I forget to include Faithless Looting in the deck. *Facepalm*
Innovative new build! Here's my immediate thoughts. The deck needs to build up 4 mana fast, before anyone can get their defences into play.I can only see 2 ways other than playing lands the ordinary way, summer bloom or red rituals. You might also want to consider how people would sideboard their gravehatred.
Remember, Living End is effectively a mass removal spell too. Also, Summer Bloom was banned recently. But yes, 4 lands asap is important. I'm thinking that the best hand would include Faithless Looting, and two lands: one that can produce red, and another green. Then Loot and Dredge to hopefully play Life From the Loam (hence the green) to get the remaining two lands (at least one white).
I think it was the artifact that was banned in bloom :D I can remember that I contemplated if anyone would play lotus cobra to replace it :DThere's also simian spirit guide to consider. (loot couldrandomly fetch that) I've also thought about a small change.Remove narcomoeba, add violent outburst (Art always reminds me of a VIOLET outburst) and noxious revival.Noxious revival might be your best defence against discard and counterspells.
No, Summer Bloom is indeed banned in Modern. Strange things happen^^
If I remember, it was banned to nerf "Amulet Bloom", at the same time Splinter Twin was banned.Cascade is a no go as it can hit one of the non-Living Ends, of which I have so many. The deck intends to play stuff from the graveyard, not hand, so Noxious revival isn't that great an idea. Once I start Dredging, I'll only ever stop to prevent myself from milling myself. Discard I'd welcome, as I want my stuff in the graveyard, and to an extent, counter fits the same category of welcome (though annoying). It's exile I'm afraid of.
What about cards that cycle like Street wraith?
Street Wraith was considered, but it's nigh impossible to find them from the online stores I order from (no one in my club has any).
Finally, a use for dark dwellers that isn't boring. I wasn't really a fan of it when it was teased, but here it looks beautiful
I'm really looking forward to getting my set (trade hasn't happened yet). Maybe I'll have some better luck testing, in other decks, than you had.
I just didn't see any appeal in it. A five drop that plays a three drop when it hits for free doesn't really seem all that powerful in most cases, mainly because I don't know of many three drops that were worth building around. Living end on the other hand is perfect to use with it, even if it is a bit roundabout
