The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...
Start typing a card name and use the auto-complete feature to quickly select the card you're trying to add. Enter a quantity and add that card to your sideboard!
Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.
cbelzer89 posted a RB land hate deck:http://www.mtgvault.com/cbelzer89/decks/rb-land-hate/And while I suggested he (she?) take a look at Ponza, I decided to have a crack at BR land hate myself.
Basic idea is to use Blood Moon and land destruction to destabilise the opponent while you build up to a threat or two. Ideally you want to use Simian Spirit Guide to help get Blood Moon out on turn two, but a turn two Molten Rain; Stone Rain; or Rain of Tears is still good. Anger of the Gods is to clear up the board if the opponent goes too wide too quickly. Goblin Dark-Dwellers replays all the land destruction and kill spells. The Walkers supply card advantage.Stormbreath Dragon is just a resilient beat stick. It costs 5, so Abrupt Decay and Fatal Push can't target it. It has protection from white, so Path to Exile can't target it. And it has 4 base toughness, meaning it takes 2 bolts to kill it before becoming monstrous.

Looks good :)

I might be mistaken, but didn't you play ponza at a time and later tried to build a "dubious challenge" deck?Someones built a hybrid (I think we discussed a hybrid build as a possibility) so I wondered if you were having a hand in it?It's called "Challenge Breach", by John Middlebrook and went 15th, SCG Charlotte.
Ooooo, a Through the Breach build of Challenge sounds like fun. Will need to look into it. I still play Ponza. Looking at getting a pair of Trinisphere to test in the sideboard as most of Ponza's cards cost 3+ anyway, the exception being the mana dorks and the odd sideboard card. Hoping Trinisphere helps against spell heavy decks like Storm and anything that runs Snappy. I only designed a Dubious Challenge deck. A friend actually bought all the cards for it. Can't wait for our next Modern FNM to see how it works in real life (my XMage games with it have been iffy).
It looks very much like a hybrid between both!
Love a good land destruction deck. Looks solid. ??
If you like this, Ponza might interest you too.My current Ponza list:http://www.mtgvault.com/dedwards/decks/ponza-mana-denied/A good Primer for Ponza:http://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/the-game/modern/developing-competitive-modern/220790-rg-ponza-modern-land-destructionBrian DeMars (ChannelFireball) recently did an article on Ponza:https://www.channelfireball.com/articles/i-see-blood-moon-rising-rg-ponza-in-modern/What I like about Ponza is how customisable it is.
547 players in roanoke:1st place ponza.http://tcdecks.net/deck.php?id=23902&iddeck=186786
Nice. The only thing I don't like in that list is the Fracturing Gust in my sideboard as it kills Blood Moon and Utopia Sprawl. Blood Moon can be worked around with the Magus of the Moon in sideboard, but losing Utopia Sprawl hurts a lot.
Fascinating article. I admit I have never played at anything more than standard or draft, and never more than a local level, so my exposure to modern and eternal format decks is very limited. That being said I am a fan of Ponza, but wouldn't know how to build or play it properly. That being said I did design a modern deck recently, buy I have no idea if it's good or not. I think so but, as I said, I have no experience playing that format.
I absolutely love Modern. Most of my collection is Modern legal :PPonza isn't easy to pilot, but it's not the most difficult either. A word of warning though, people really dislike not being able to play their cards, which probably why Wizards have started reducing the number of LD cards they print in favour of printing cards that tap down lands for a turn (like the Rubble half of Reduce // Rubble). Personally, I don't feel like there's much difference between what Ponza does and what a counter heavy control deck or a prison deck does. All three strategies try to hamper the opponent's plays to buy time until they can win through one of their big threats. I would gladly take a look at your attempt at a Modern deck to give advice.
Yeah, people like playing magic when they play magic, or so I have gathered. :)Prison is nasty, and control is super annoying when done right. Nothing is worse than having your spells countered and your turn ruined.Any advice you could give be great.I actually have a couple that I would like some feedback on.An enchanted evening deck.http://www.mtgvault.com/kazzong/decks/enchanted-scorn/And a modified version of my defender deck.http://www.mtgvault.com/kazzong/decks/modern-legal-defender-deck/
I'll take a look at them in a few hours. Night time for me at the moment, so I'll probably only get to it tomorrow.
Ah. Cool. It is morning here. Sleep is good.
It appears I've commented on the defender deck before. I made Modern legal suggestions for the Enchanted Evening deck.
Thanks. :)I will take a look. Was hoping you might look at other enchanted evening deck as well actually. That one is currently modern legal.http://www.mtgvault.com/kazzong/decks/wg-evening/Feel silly actually as this is the one I meant to post the link to, but didn't notice until it was too late... Meh. No worries though.
Ahem! Reread what dedwards wrote, kazzonq. He has commented on both :DSleep is a necessity :P
He did after I posted the link to the 3rd deck, yes. I only posted two originally but not the two I thought. I thought I posted my white green enchanted evening deck, by I posted my white blue one instead. Then posted my white green one afterwards. And I am grateful for all the advice he gave. Helped my decks out a lot.
