Pioneer version of the Dragons deck I'm working on for Modern.Modern version here:https://www.mtgvault.com/dedwards/decks/chandra-likes-dragons/For those playing Explorer on Arena, the following are not on Area yet:Stormbreath DragonDreadboreSmoldering MarshUborg, Tomb of YawgmothThe lands are easily replaced with more basics and/or other duals.Angrath's Rampage is a decent filler for Dreadbore. The main issue is the loss of Stormbreath Dragon. The best stand-ins I can come up with for Stormbreath are either Atsushi, the Blazing Sky or Goldspan Dragon. Of the 2, I'd pick Goldspan for this deck.
Buy time with removal and hand disruption until you can cast your Dragons. The Chandras provide both ramp and card advantage. They also serve as secondary win conditions (their ultimates and ping damage). Stormbreath Dragon is our most resilient threat. As it has a mana value of 5, it dodges removal based around mana value (Bloodchief's Thirst, Fatal Push, etc), and it has protection from white, which protects it from cards like March of Otherworldly Light. And at 4 Toughness, it takes more than 1 burn spell (in most cases) to be killed.Glorybringer can be exerted to deal 4 damage to a non-dragon, meaning you can play it, attack, and still kill something on the opponent's board.Thunderbreak Regent may not have haste like the other 2 dragons in here, but it does punish the opponent for targeting your Dragons. It's especially good for when the burn player needs to target a Dragon with 2 burn spells to kill it.

Heard of explorer, the format?

Yes, I know of it. Basic Arena's Pioneer that is not Pioneer yet.Sadly, I currently don't have any devices that can run Arena.
Still, you might want to track the explorer meta. The speed at which decks evolves on arena is actually breathtaking, so pioneer will probably be invaded by arena builds. The arena algorithm will pose a small problem as it's distribution of mana is much more friendly than real life mana, so there will be some sort of translation between the decktypes.I'm pretty sure some big brains will try to crack that translation, and I'm very tempted to crack it myself, if it weren't for my usual longterm project.
Ye, I do check in on Explorer from time to time. But I guess I could pay a bit more attention to that meta, even if only as another data point. It's actually your initial comment here that has me going through my Poineer decks and adding a list of what is not yet on Explorer and giving suggestions on what could be used as substitutes.
I saw that :)It's a neat way of doing it.1: you avoid the question in the future :)2: you could tag it as explorer too without being too wrong.I think explorer might be the cause of arjuna and cgb going their own ways. They've announced that they are splitting up.
