Deck Description

An attempt at reworking of Skred Red to incorporate 8 Moon effects. I wanted to include Trinisphere mainboard too, but couldn't find space.

How to Play

A turn two Moon is the best play here. This can be done in two ways, and both required Simian Spirit Guide:
1) Turn one: land; Turn two: land, exile Simian Spirit Guide, Moon.
2) Turn one: land, exile Simian Spirit Guide, Mind Stone; Turn two: land, Moon.

Getting an early Moon will put majority of Modern decks off their colours as a lot of them run only 1-4 basic lands. Molten Rain takes care of the basics that slip through. Molten Rain is also good against Tron, if you don't have an early Moon.

Simian Spirit Guide / Mind Stone also help get Koth or Chandra out on turn three. These are the mainboard win conditions.

Sideboard:

Stormbreath Dragon comes in against anything running Path and / or Anguished Unmaking, or similar (Hatebears, WU control). Also great if you're expecting heavy Planeswalker hate.

Dragon's Claw is for any fast, red heavy deck (RDW).

It was a toss-up between Dismember and Roast to take care of Reality Smasher. Dismember won as it's also off colour removal (kills Kor Firewalker, etc) and gets around indestructible.

Relic is for any graveyard shenanigans.

Trinisphere is good against anything heavy on cards costing less than 3, "free" spells, and cost reduction decks (Storm).
