Deck Description

I made this for nightcreeper58's Landwalk Challenge

I can't take credit for this deck, I based it off a friend's deck.

Tribal Merfolk deck based on attacking with Islandwalk after turning one of the opponent's lands into an Island :P

Between Stonybrook Banneret and Merrow Reejerey's ability to tap or untap permanents (I'll be untapping my lands), I should be able to play my cratures for almost nothing :P

I want to use Merrow Commerce for an ability simmilar to vigilance, but I'm not sure if I should.

I designed this using extended cards only, otherwise I would have added the Lord.
I tried keeping this tribal, hence not using the Leviathan

Merrow commerce is really great, it better than vigilance. So I think yes you should. I prefer spreading seas over Aquitect's will personally, but I understand you really only want merfolk. Check out my merfolk deck too please ^^

Spreading Seas is a good card, but in here Aquitect's Will can activate Merrow Reejerey's ability to tap or untap, ultimately making it free :p That's why I chose it over Spreading Seas.

You could actually gain extra mana if multiple lands are tapped and multiple Merrow Reejerey's are in play.
Also, a little white for extra defensive measures wouldn't hurt.

Door Of Destinies would be HUGE in this deck.

Im actually running an extended format Islandwalk merfolk deck myself:

Built to be really cheap mana cost wise with islandwalking, card advantage and pumped up creatures as the finisher.

I do like tideshapper mystic in your deck though, I never noticed that guy. You probally should narrow down some of the opponent creating islands for stuff to take adavtanage of it though. Perhaps Wandewine prophet once you grant him unblockability. (gogo continuos extra turns)
