I don't get the Animate Artifact and Intruder Alarm combo though...

Thanks for the heads up ANON. I really appreciate the pro advice. :D

The Animate Artifact is already in Karn, so I guess I wouldn't be incorporating it. As for mana problems, the Ornithopter + Paradise Mantle is a solution although your Soul Foundry + Ornithopter covers my early game problems along with Cranial Plating.

Tinker's expensive, so I might lose it and replace it with Machinate. Furnace Dragon and Darksteel Forge are just my "emergency" cards just in case it gets out of hand, so maybe I'll add them to the sideboard.
