Sounds decent. If that's what your gut says, go with it. There's no substitute for play testing and seeing how it performs against what's out there and your meta game.Just keep an open mind and try new things. Often times when I try new things, I just add a 1 or 2 of into the deck and see how it performs for me. If it goes well, I add a copy, if not, I give it a shot or two and subtract a copy maybe. This way, I can get a sense for how often I want to draw it and in what situations. That's all for now. Maybe we'll play test it sometime soon so we can give it a few rounds.

Here goes... my general thoughts are that I love Grixis and always will. Your creature set up is pretty solid and looks like a great place to start. You have some early defense, scry and devotion capability to power MOW. You definitely need more land count to support your curve. Right now is a tough time for Grixis because it doesn't have access to more scry lands (which is wants badly in my opinion). As far as the spell assortment and board, I would recommend a more varied approach that tailors to the metagame and the midrange style of the deck. If I were going to play Grixis tomorrow, it might look something like this://Artifact (1)1 Rakdos Keyrune//Creature (17)2 Ætherling4 Frostburn Weird4 Master of Waves4 Nightveil Specter2 Omenspeaker1 Thassa, God of the Sea//Enchantment (2)1 Claustrophobia1 Whip of Erebos//Instant (13)2 Cyclonic Rift1 Far//Away2 Hero's Downfall2 Doom Blade1 Ultimate Price1 Swan Song1 Turn // Burn2 Syncopate//Planeswalker (2)2 Jace, Architect of Thought//Sorcery (3)2 Divination1 Dreadbore//Land (23)4 Blood Crypt3 Island1 Mountain1 Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx4 Steam Vents3 Swamp4 Temple of Deceit3 Watery GraveSB: 2 Underworld CerberusSB: 3 Anger of the GodsSB: 2 Rakdos's ReturnSB: 2 Sire of InsanitySB: 2 Slaughter GamesSB: 2 ThoughtseizeSB: 1 Swan SongSB: 1 Rakdos KeyruneI'm not 100% on the board as I'd have to think about it more but the main deck seems like it would be a solid adjustment. Few key points of note:- The increased land count is necessary. Increases consistency and prevents mana screw. The draw and scry you have should get you were you need to be with 23 land but there's no substitute for play testing.- I split up your spells more to give you variety. Each spell has diminishing returns so having a solid array gives you options to draw into when you need them. With this assortment, you shouldn't have issues with planeswalkers, obzedat or other large threats. Turn//Burn is a solid option to even take out blood baron of vizkopa.- Claustrophobia increases devotion while keeping removal high.- Added a 2nd Jace because he's THAT good right now- Added a keyrune to increase your red count as well as resilience to Supreme Verdict which right now, hurts your deck a bit. Added 1 to the board in case you needed more threats that worked better against them.- Keeping Sire of Insanity as he's great right now. Dodges both ultimate price AND doom blade while stripping hands.- And finally, 1 Whip of Erebos main as Grixis always wants some form of life gain if possible to stabilize against all these other decks that seem to have access to life gainLet me know what you think. Still a work in progress but hope this helps or at least gives food for thought.
