Possibly. The idea of the sideboard right now is to sideboard as much red in for green against control. What this does is power up Nykthos in a way that Ember Swallower's monstrosity can activate early, thus cutting off the control's supply of mana, leaving me with a big board and them not being able to keep up.

No, I changed it. I was thinking the same thing.
-1 Erebos+1 Whip of Erebos
Sideboard: +2 NighthowlerMain Deck: +2 Hero's Downfall
-2 Gift of Immortality+2 Sphere of Safety
will do, thanks.!
This is a good idea. I'll consider it, thanks!
-2 Agent of the Fates+2 Blightcaster
I've thought about this, too. The inspiration for the deck was actually Treasury Thrull, yet it resides in the sideboard. The entire idea was as a budget deck, but it's slowly moving away from that. I was hoping to use Bestow creatures as my auras (with the exception of ethereal armor and gift of immortality because they both kick so much ass). This way avoiding being 2-for-1'ed constantly. I found it easier to accomplish with two colors, but the more I think about it, the more i think I can do to get away with one color.
+2 Heliod, God of the Sun-2 Heliod's Emissary+2 Erebos, God of the Dead-2 Nighthowler
I thought about Gift of Orzhova, and it was tempting. But, the reason I wanted to go with Immortality was because if it attaches to an enchant creature, and it dies, it will trigger bringing two enchantments into play triggering Ajani's Chosen and Blightcaster. As for removing pacifisms, I probably can't. It's essentially removal, and counts as an enchant for Ethereal Armor, Ajani's Chosen, Blightcaster, Auramancer
Commune with the Gods is a good idea, not sure i want to splash green, though. Heliod would great, too. Didn't realize the cleric token where enchants, too.
Swap out the Smiters for Boon Satyrs
Well, I've yet to play it, and will probably start out with some versatility until i get a better feel for what fits.
You're right, it absolutely is. But, in a month it will be nothing more than a modern deck. May not be viable, given that modern is so competitive, but my suggestions were made with the future in mind. I don't really see the point in building a new standard deck a month before rotation. But, to each his own.
Awesome deck. I really like it. A few possible updates.May want to consider Keen Sense instead of abundant growth. Not sure that the abundant growth will be fast enough [Turn one forest, abundant growth, turn two if you hit you island land-drop, that abundant growth is unnecessary]. If you have the forest put to be able to play the growth, that may be the only green source you need all game. The deck has low CMC spells, so a keen sense will draw into more stuff (lands) allowing you more removal. Also, i'd suggest going to 4x Flails and only 2x Shreikers: The shreikers cost most and the flails' ability stack. Double strike is a cool ability, but with unblockable's it's better to stack the extra flails, and you'll spend less mana doing it.
Pretty cool deck for how much $$$ it should cost to build. Double-Strike is seriously deck. Fun to play in one-on-one, for sure.
