A combination of Soul Sisters/Deadguy Ale/Stoneblade and it's archetype would best be described as control/aggro/combo (in this particular order). :: Influences from Soul Sisters Soul Sisters abuse creatures like Souls Attendant and Suture Priest to generate infinite life (with Leonin Relic-Warder and Phyrexian Metamorph) while implementing a game plan involving alternate win conditions or equipment beatdown (today known as Stoneblade). Notable cards/deck staples: Suture Priest, Phyrexian Metamorph, Leonin Relic-Warder. :: Influences from Deadguy Ale In my opinion, this deck experiment captures the very essence of Deadguy Ale - you never go all out on anything, but you have some of everything giving a good all-round deck with cheap cards with loads of bang for the buck. The Deadguy Ale archetype provides us with card advantage (bob) and our removal options including hand disruption and Swords to Plowshares. Vindicate seemed unnecessary as we already have Leonin Relic-Warder as a combo piece and Hymn to Tourach seemed more random than this deck could handle - we instead keep the more direct discard cards such as Duress and Tidehollow Sculler to disrupt combo/counterspell-heavy decks as well as protect our pieces from removal. Notable cards/deck staples: Dark Confidant, Swords to Plowshares, Tidehollow Sculler. :: Influences from Stoneblade (aka. toolbox) Stoneblade in it's core is "Sword of ****", Batterskull and Jitte with Stoneforge Mystic, possibly involving manlands and the Landstill archetype, Caw or what Deadguy Ale has turned into recently. This toolbox option should have really good synergy in this deck as it's creature heavy, meaning loads of cards able to swing equipment. Notable cards/deck staples: Take a guess. :: Sideboard ... Geared for disrupting combo and all-out decks. Comment and ideas would be great!
