Most players will tell you to take out the doomblade and put it in the side board. Instead put in Grasp of Darkness. This will help you incase you're playing a black deck or a deck with black creatures.

thanks, you caught me while i was still tinkering...but you're right...doomblade sb...grasp main deck... and thank you for the viscera suggestion. I feel that it's an overlooked card.

I see this problem all too often. The deck is good but you should focus on either agro or control. I'm seeing this as an agro deck, so take out the guul draz assasin as you don't want to invest mana into beefing it up when you can play something else that will either kill right away, or another creature. Again, if this is agro, take out the Nirkana Revenants, the excess mana is more of a control trick. Drana looks iffy to me but that's a middle ground card beftween the two. I'd also say put in the lacerators (instead of the guul assassin). you don't have to worry about losing life since black always seems to gain it anyway. This is all ment to be constructive criticism, and is really only good if you were going for agro. I built my own standard legal vampire deck. Check it out...i'm at the opposite end of the spectrum focusing on control.

i see this deck having lots of problems early game. You could get shorted on the colors you need....or on the amount of mana for that matter. Very vulnerable to speedy decks.
