Still love this deck lol
Love it, +1
Dragonspeaker Shaman is awesome
Elixir of Immortality is not std but as of 10/24 the rest are std
Thanks for the tip. :)
Nice deck. I have a standard event coming up soon and i've been having a hard time making a solid deck. This one seems pretty nice. I will proxy it and repost how it works.
Cool deck!
Thanks North! I know Ob is expensive, but with some battlefield control spells I'm sure you can last long enough against casual decks to bring him out. And awesome that you included a hexproof cards. Removal spells are definitely devastating...but I would still sideboard some Doom blade's too. I've been working on an Ob deck too but still bouncing ideas based off cards that I currently own. I am probably going to proxy this deck and give you feedback :)
Thats cool man. No rush at all.
Thats a pretty cool deck Jessie
Whooooooooooooa
I have a challenge for you!Is there a way you can make a deck that uses Ob Nixilis, Unshackled as a definite win condition? I have been playing around with a lot of different ideas (based off of Gatherer) but your knowledge of mtg is quite vast compared to mine. :PIf you can keep it at least Modern that would be awesome. :)
Yes, BigGeorge76. I too have seen a lot of the tounrey decks and then I see the prices and I say to myself "I love tounraments but I am not spending $500+ on a deck when I have so much other stuff in my life going on." That's not to say I don't want them, but sometimes we have to know when to say no. Unless you are actually winning in national events and getting money, 90% of the decks that win are out of our price ranges. I have seen some budget decks that I personally thought were beast. Having played against Tron, Birthing Pod, Affinity, etc... Some of the decks North posts I can see being solid contenders. I have a mono black aggro deck that won a few matches in a local tournament and North posted an Elephant deck that I bought for my girlfriend that beats my aggro deck. Granted it's not some $300-3000 deck, but with some adjustments (a sideboard) the decks can be really good, since the premise has already been laid out. Again, referring to BigGeorge, the decks give people ideas to try out. I don't know the statistics but I would bet that the vast population of MTG players do not compete in events, so coming to a site like this and looking around can be entertaining and gear turning (thought provoking).
hahahahahha interesting
Cheap aggro decks are cool. This one looks pretty nice, even for a starter deck. I had a mono black aggro that I used in some events. Won a few matches, lost a few matches. I also said "had" because I have presently taken it apart so I can make massive adjustments to it. But I listed it here with some best of 5 games and links to those decks I played against. http://www.mtgvault.com/dariustwin/decks/mono-black-aggro/
Right! That's why it's a fun deck. :)
Lmao this deck looks like a lot of fun to play with and/or against. I had a deck a while back that I used to cast negative spells on my own creatures so that I could boost other ones. This one is similar to that. I love these kinds of mechanics. +1
Another cool deck, Northy. I have a mono-red burn deck as well. It's super fast too. I have done a few turn 4 wins with it. It's not budget though, coming to $42. I like how you put Leyline Of Punishment in there though. That's a cool card I never knew about. It would be awesome sideboarding it against a lifegain deck./likemy burn deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/dariustwin/decks/mono-red-burn/
Funny you post a lifelink deck. I have REALLY been getting into lifelink aggro decks lately. This is the most recent one I made if you don't mind checking it out... http://www.mtgvault.com/dariustwin/decks/fabled-heroes-4/Trying to keep it Mono-White, but always open for opinions.
