Tried to tune a pauper deck (link below) for kitchen table games. Overcomes Desecration Demons downside and untaps the Scepter. Not as combo-tastic as Pemmin's Aura, but Alchemist isn't a 2-for-1 play if if the other creature is killed in response.Consolidation---------------------*Desecration Demon* - A serious threat while Aphetto Alchemist is around and/or deathtouchers are removing creatures to sacrifice.*Isochron Scepter* - Works well with the instants and Aphetto Alchemist. Not the main plan of the deck, so just one-of will do. May be fetched with Muddle the Mixture.Thinking about...--------------------*Nightveil Predator* - Game sealing creature with relevant keyword abilities.*Hypnotic Specter* - Instant random discard with Hermetic Study/Psionic Gift. If you do that to opponents only card drawn on their draw step, you can lock them out of non-instant / flash cards.*Ring of Xathrid* - mainly for regeneration, but also helps sealing the game faster with continous +1/+1 counters.Got any card suggestions for the deck?
You should start with Duress and discard any creature removal. If you have instants to protect creatures, keep mana open for them. Skip the turn rather than cast creatures that use all of your mana, if you plan on keeping those creatures. Likewise, don't over populate your board with creatures. Think how to survive board wipe, if there's any chance they have that.Don't hold back Foulmire Knights just to cast the Adventure later, if your board is empty. The same goes for instants, don't wait for the Scepter or Into the Roil kicker mana. All of those are just fallbacks to keep the cards valuable when drawn late game.

+1Viridian Longbow and [[Sorcerer's Wand]] would be the quipment equivalent to Psionic Gift / Hermetic Study while Thornbite Staff would turn this into a mass-removal (as long as you have enough mana).

This fit the theme nicely and could work by not having the 2-for-1 problem enchantments have. However, I'm afraid my land count is a bit too small for the equip costs as I would still need mana for Dive Down/Mana Leak. I recently dropped Ring of Xathird too, since I rarely could equip it to a just played creature and still have 2 mana for the regeneration.
Did some changes:-3 Hypnotic Specter-1 Tandem Lookout-1 Ring of Xathrid-3 Recoil+2 Typhoid Rats+1 Desecration Demon+1 Duress+1 Dive Down+3 Into the RoilDecided to drop Hypnotic Specters. They looked nice on paper and had cheesy synergy with the enchantments, but they were rarely winning me games. Instead I went with options that provided more consistency. After dropping Hypnotics, I also changed Recoils to a 1 mana cheaper Into the Roil, since the discard wasn't so effective anymore.
Some further changes.Mana Leaks were not performing well in late game, so switched them for some hard counters, Countersqualls and Muddle the Mixtures, latter of which can also fetch key components of the deck.Due to number of non-creature discards and counters, decided to drop a Duress for an Isochron Scepter. As one-of and with "just" 11 instants, it's not part of the main plan, but if drawn (or fetched with Mixture), it helps seal the late game better than any single spell.
