I took out the nettle sentinels for more utility cards like Elvish promenade, deep shadow, harbinger to add a new spice to the elves. Nettle sentinel is really good but these cards I believe to work better with Shaman of the Pack. Ezuri of course as a secondary win con, and I have enough ramp to pump him out and enough elves to where one cast of overrun would be enough instead of trying to ramp out too 15-20 mana, I try to dump elves that way. Elvish promenade gives me elves to tap with heritage druid and pairs really well for pack and ezuri of course. Nettle sentinel while great as an opener just doesn't do much as a late game draw. When looking to combo off or dump A LOT of mana it's great, but this deck can run without it I think. COming frfom someone who has played elves for a couple of years, it seems like something I want to try.
T-1 Dork/heritage druidT-2 heritage druid with another 1cmc or go straight into archdruid if no other combost-3 mana for collected company or dump a bunch of elves to start normal beat down or try to drop ezuri to protect your elves from a board wipe.t-4 get close or win then and there haha

Feedback from the community would be great to see if you believe this to be a viable build or if you think maybe traditional elves is better. Thanks!

I used to play Elves a lot before Origins, (stopped because I got bored of it) and I must admit that I took out Nettle Sentinel a long time before that. Nettle only really works well if you're playing the Beck half of Beck // Call combo Elf deck.Another card I took out was Elvish Visionary. Personally, I found that I drew enough mana sources and uses for the mana without the extra draw off Elvish Visionary.
It's hard to substitute visionary I feel just cause that draw is really nice. Especially paired well with elvish harbinger. It can give you that top deck CoCo or land or creature. What did you replace them with?
Honestly can't remember at the moment. I should get around to reconstructing the deck and posting it, but I have a WMCQ deck to prepare and test, so that may take a while.
What are you working with for WMCQ?
Not going into details yet, but its a take on Junk that a friend came up with
eldritch evolution without too much details?
That is a semi-key card. Made to be awesome with, but still good without.
Hmm I'll be curious if you decide to post.
I'll post it eventually, just not now
Got some good (bad?) news. I found a deck I prefer over the Junk Evolution deck: Blood Moon + land destruction. I'll eventually come back to the Junk Evolution deck, but for now piloting the LD deck list feels more comfortable to me.
I'm familiar with the deck. That deck is really good I think. Goblin darkdweller and boom/bust is just dumb good.
It just blew my mind when I read that you can select Boom //Bust with Dark-Dwellers because the Boom half is a legal target and then choose to cast Bust.
I really thought they were going to somehow fix the rulings to say otherwise since they pretty much made Armageddon legal in modern.
