So I've been really interested in using Past in Flames in a standard deck, but so far it's been nigh impossible because the lack of mana ramp to fully utilize spam casting spells from your graveyard. Avacyn Restored has brought us new tools with the cards Battle Hymn and Arcane Melee. The only way to make a RETARDED amount of mana with Battle Hymn is to get a lot of creatures and what better way to do that then play a lot of token generators? Gathering inspiration and information from the Modern Past in Flames deck, I decided to try a kind of "token storm" deck with a few finishers in Burn at the Stake, Devil's Play, and to a lesser extent Burning Vengeance. At it's current state, it's pretty painfully slow, and usually combos off around turn 5 if you're lucky (but more often then not, around turn 7-8). I'd like to ask your advice on my list to see if there's any way I can improve it. To be honest, I don't think this deck will do well without better dig and more mana accelerants. Hopefully we'll see some in either M13 or Return to Ravnica.

I was just looking into a similar idea, but was considering Kuldotha rebirth as a token generator and also the semblance anvil to reduce mana costs. But I am still rather uncertain how well it can be made to work. The idea though seems pretty cool.
