I got the idea for this deck from Flametongue Kavu and Archangel Avacyn. I like the idea of fire and angels together. Angels are usually pretty expensive so I knew I had to have lots of early game to help out. Flame slash, wall of omens, Boros Reckoner, and ghostly prison all help control the early game while you generate enough mana to pull out the big guns.
Look for at least two mana and a wall of omens in your opening hand. Ring of thune can attach to wall of omens if you have no other plays, and the vigilance doesn't help, but the +1/+1 every turn does. Boros Reckoner would be a preferred target though. If you draw godsend, make sure to put it on a creature with vigilance, as it becomes way more difficult to block and attack for the enemy. Thalia's Lancers costs 5, and can pull any angel except angel of invention from the deck. It can also pull Godsend. Each angel is good in different situations, so having that flexibility is powerful. Linvala, if you are behind, Gisela, the broken blade, Kalemne, or archangel avacyn if you only have 5 mana, Bruna, and gisela, the blade of goldnight if you are near the end of the game and have at least 6 mana. Oblivion Ring will solve any problems you are currently having on the board.
