Have you thought of using Mul Daya Channelers? I found out about them today and they might work with this deck

Oh my only suggestion would be Purphoros, God of the forge. Let your little guys still be heavy hitters even without haste and then buff them next turn

removal is an important thing too for mardu, at least a valorous stance so theres protection and removal
sound the alarm (or raise the alarm i cant remember) and mardu charm might be good additions, there not really used but are still some cheap token generators.
now im not a control player so I may be wrong, but maybe despise instead of thoughtsieze would be a better option. unless you do have it in your collection its pretty good to have, but despise just might be alittle better, since you don't have to lose life and since the meta mostly involves creatures anyways you might as well use despise. plus since mono colored creatures are becoming more important now a days maybe an ultimate price instead of murderous cut. also since flyers are still a problem maybe hornets nest combined with roar of challenge might be a good idea. For my sideboard I use dark deal and cranial archive as a way to mill my oppanant and still not really lose cards to my graveyard. im not trying to sound like these are good ideas, again I am not a control player in the tiny bit, but these are just suggestions/ideas I think might work. but its still a great deck
have you considered glistener elf? it could be a usefull one drop and if you use aspect of the hydra it could be a good mid-late game strat by easily buffing the elf for just 1 mana. also maybe a genesis wave so you can create a large board to overrun your opponants with.
What about using solidarity of heroes from journey into nyx. It doubles the +1/+1 counters on any number of creatures, course there's the strive for each, but it's only 2 so it won't be hard to double counters. Khalni hydra could help too, adds 8 to devotion, is an 8/8, and cost 1 green less for each green creature you control
Theoretically if you had a play set of radiant fountain and a play set of Selesnya sanctuary you could gain 14 life. Play a radiant fountain, bounce it back to your hand with Selesnya sanctuary and play it turn 3, you'd be up to 24 with 3 mana from 2 lands. Then if you used a voyaging satyr that turn, then on your next turn bounce radiant fountain back, untap the new sanctuary, turn 4 whould have 4 mana from 2 lands and you'd be able to keep up with the mana:turn ratio, but the life:turn ratio would be in favor of life. So I guess it's kinda a trade off if life gaining is what you want.
