Deck Description

This deck utilizes the quickness of low costing cost and abilities of the vampire to overrun your opponents. One such ability that i was thinking of taking advantage is the abilities of both the Bloodghast's Landfall and Kalastria Highborne's ability. As we all know the Bloodghast can not be sent to the graveyard without the means of either taking damage or by an outside source that allows a creature to be sacrificed. Therefore, we use the ability of the Bloodthrone Vampire that allows a creature to be sacrificed to get a bonus of +2/+2 till end of a turn. By using this we can put the Bloodghast into a graveyard after assigning it to attack then using Kalastria's ability to pay one black mana to deal an additional 2 damage and gaining 2 life. Then next turn dropping a swamp to return bloodghast into play.

Verdant Catacombs is used for situations when Vampire Nocturnus' ability is not active due to a swamp being the top card on the library. By sacing Verdant Catacombs you are forced to search for a swamp to bring into play then shuffling your deck to better your chances to have a black card rather then a swamp being the top card.
